Lesson 31: Don’t Fall , Danny!
教材分析
本单元主要是围绕奥运会和世界纪录来展开话题，通过本单元的学习，使学生了解有关奥运会的发展历史和世界纪录的相关情况，乐于接触并了解异国文化。在学习过程中，应该让学生能够对自己感兴趣的人物或事件，勇敢地用英语表达自己的看法，感受奥运健儿和世界纪录的创造者那种努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神。
Lesson 31 主要是由世界纪录延伸到个人记录这一话题，让学生谈论自己熟悉的世界纪录，在此过程中培养他们敢于用英语表达自己熟悉人物的能力，感受他们的进取精神。
1教学重点：掌握描述世界记录及个人记录的表达方式
2教学难点：形容词和副词的比较级和最高级
二、教学目标：
1 语言知识：
掌握词汇 ：champion, relative, record, break
2语言技能：通过本课的学习培养学生综合运用语言的能力，有效提高学生听说及阅读能力。
3 情感态度：让学生通过本课的学习，了解一些世界记录，并由此延伸到谈论班级记录这一话题，培养学生之间的竞争意识。
4 学习策略：通过听力练习、小组活动来完成听说及阅读的训练。

Step 1 Free Talk （about 5 min）
Ask : (1) .Have you ever heard of this book
(2) .Do you know what it is in What world record do you know of
(3). Do you know what world record Danny wants to set
【设计思路】：让学生谈论世界纪录的书，吸引学生学习兴趣，同时引入丹尼想创造的世界纪录，导入新课。
Step 2. New lesson.（新课）
1.Teach the new words: champion , relative .Make sure the Ss can read it correctly.
【设计思路】：用图片新授单词，让学生可以对形象生动的画面产生深刻的印象，激发学习兴趣，调动多种感官参与学习活动，更好地理解单词意思以及在语境中的用法，并及时检测巩固。
2.Listening: Let’s the students listen to the tape and answer the questions.
(1). Why is Danny standing on one foot
(2).What’s Danny’s family going to do this evening Who is coming to his house
【设计思路】：通过听力练习，训练学生的听力，且纠正学生的发音。
3. Fast-reading: Write true (T) or false (F).
【设计思路】：快速阅读，让学生整体感知课文内容，并通过true or false来检测学生的阅读理解。
4. Careful- reading: Answer the questions.
【设计思路】：学生通过细读进一步学习理解课文内容，通过回答问题来检测学生的理解能力。
5. Role –play: Divide the class into some groups. Let the students practice the dialogue by roles. And then ask some groups to present in front of the class.
【设计思路】：启发引导学生讨论奥运记录，在小组合作中学习使用正确的语言进行表述，培养合作意识。
6. Retell the text.
