你曾经跟你的朋友打过架吗?
(1)表示动作或过程发生在说话之前某个没有明确说出的过去时间(常指最近的过去时间),现在已经完成了,并与现在的情况有联系,通常用现在完成时,但在美国英语中倾向于用一般过去时表示。

thanks to “多亏;由于”,介词to 后面跟名词或代词作宾语,这个结构在句中用作状语,常位于句首。
e.g. Thanks to our head teacher, we got out of the forest .
多亏我们的向导,我们走出了森林。
thanks for “因……而感谢”,介词for 后面跟名词、代词或v.-ing形式作宾语。
e.g. Thanks for helping me with my English.
对于你帮助我学英语,我非常感谢。

rather than “而不是”,它通常连接两个并列结构,如名词、v.-ing 形式、动词不定式(rather than 后的不定式中的to可省略)、介词短语等。
e.g. She is a singer rather than an actress.
她是一名歌手,而不是一个演员。
The students were dancing rather than jumping.
学生们正在跳舞而不是在跳。
We’ll have the text in the classroom rather than in the hall.
