Step1: Review Play the recording and ask students to repeat the article sentence by sentence. Show the reports of Tina and Tom. Listen to the recording and repeat. Complete the reports according to the article. 6’
Step2: Discussion Ask students if they agree that there are aliens. Play a piece of recording to show how to express agreeing and disagreeing. Show some topics for the students to discuss. Listen to the recording and practise the dialogue in pairs. Answer some comprehension questions. Conclude some expressions of showing agreeing and disagreeing, then think of more. Choose one of the topics to make a dialogue with partner. 8’
Step3: Listening Tell students their task. Make sure they understand the map on page 102. Tell students how to describe the location on the map. Play the recording twice.
