【第一课时】
【教学目标】
1.能用所学词语或句型谈论名人及事迹。
2.能听懂并会用所学句型Who was he / she? She was a great scientist.和He saved many people's lives.等进行问答对话和表述,掌握课文中出现的生词。
3.通过学习名人事迹,让学生以名人为榜样,树立为人们服务的情感。
【教学重难点】
1.词汇:was(is, am的过去式),wise, woman, lives(life的复数形式),hero, man, brave, person, scientist.
2.句型:
—Who was he / she?
—She was a great scientist. / He saved many people's lives.
【教学准备】
1.“看图说名人”。教师出示名人的图片或通过课件展示名人的画像,让学生看后,根据以下的有关问题进行问答对话和谈论:Who was he / she? He / She was a great scientist. He saved many people?s lives.
2.教师课前需要准备录音内容和名人图片。
【教学过程】
一、Warm-up.
教师将课前精心准备的一些世界名人的画像、制作的课件,展示给学生看,让学生说出有关人物的名字。然后,让学生谈论这些名人的国籍、生平事迹等。教师也可以直接用英语询问:Do you know these people? Who are they? Where are they from? What did they do? 等,引导和启发学生就有关的名人进行谈论。通过这些活动,将学生注意力逐步转向本节课教学内容上来。
二、任务2的教学:
1. 教师让学生看Listen and say的教学内容,带领学生朗读a man, a woman, a hero, a brave person, a scientist, a wise person,或让学生齐声朗读这几个单词或短语。
2. 播放Listen and say的录音,先让学生仔细听,注意录音中所提到人物的词语。
3. 根据Listen and say的内容,让学生两人一组,仿照图片上面的对话形式和句型Who was he? Tell me about him. He was a scientist. 等就本任务中学习的与人物有关的词语进行问答对话练习(所用句型可以适当灵活变化,以体现活学活用之目的)。
三、任务1的教学:
1. 在进行上述活动的基础上,教师让学生看Look, listen and act的教学内容,看对话中出现了哪些人物,他们在谈论什么,提到了哪些世界著名人物和他们的事迹。(在学生看的过程中,教师将有关生词和Who was he / she? She was a great scientist. He saved many people's lives. 等句型写到黑板上,或用多媒体展示出来。)
2. 教师简单讲解黑板上或多媒体展示出来的生词和句型。然后,教学生认读、跟读和记忆。
3. 播放Look, listen and act的录音,先让学生听两遍。在听懂大意的基础上,给学生布置“任务”,比如:Where did Marie Curie live? Who was Norman Bethune? Was Norman Bethune a great scientist? 等,让学生带着问题、带着目的去听录音。
4. 通过多种形式让学生朗读Look, listen and act的内容,比如:跟录音读,跟教师读,角色扮演朗读。
5. 在学生听懂和熟读的基础上,组织学生以小组为单位,进行角色扮演,模仿Look, listen and act的内容进行对话表演。(在学生进行对话表演时,教师可将Look, listen and act的内容通过图片或多媒体等方式,向学生适当提供情景,以便学生模仿对话时参考。)
四、回忆本课所学内容,向名人学习,总结本课知识。
五、布置作业。
1. Try to read this dialogue correctly and fluently.
2. Try to talk about a famous person in the history to your parents.
