四、重点句型
1.Unfortunately, his father died, leaving the family even worse off.
leaving the family even worse off 作结果状语常表示“意料、情理之中”,而不定式作结果状语常表示出乎意料的结果。He hurried to the bus stop, only to find the bus had left.
