Unit 9 The Great Cities of the World 单元教学设计
1、 学情分析:
本单元是六年级的课程。六年级英语在小学英语教学中起着承上启下的作用,既是五年级的衍生又是初中一年级的铺垫。他们通过小学五年的英语语言的学习和熏陶,有了一定程度的语言积累,能够并且也乐于围绕主题进行学习和交流。在设计教学任务和活动时,可以增加一定的层次和难度,最大程度地激发孩子们的知识储备和提供语言输出的机会。但同时考虑到学生对于本单元目标句型How long does it take to get to ... from... by ....? It takes about....有一定的难度,在设计本单元活动时需要由简到繁,由易到难,逐步进行。这样才能达到真正的掌握和运用新知的教学目标。
1、 教材分析、
本单元的内容是六年级上册的Module 3 Unit 9 Great Cities of the World. 本单元所在模块的主题是Out and about ,在学习本单元之前,学生学习了一些关于表达将来打算的知识,如Shall I ,,,? 和参观博物馆的知识,也初步了解了一些关于地理知识和方位的词汇。在此基础上我们将单元内容进行了整体设计。首先从深圳出发,带着学生去上海、北京、三亚、和拉萨去“旅游“,利用学生对这些城市的已有的旧知和生活中的订票的真实生活情景,全方位了解他们的方位、来往两地所需的时间、交通工具等,第一课时是学习和讨论The Great Cities in China..接下来由首都北京慢慢地过渡到英国的伦敦和日本的首都东京,了解学习这三大国际大都市的一些重要的旅游支援和饮食习惯等。实现了对主题的学习。在此基础上拓展了世界主要国家和国旗及首都,重点介绍了一带一路的国家的首都,如开罗,莫斯科,曼谷等。让学生在学习语言知识的同时也了解咱们中国的时事国情。最后通过制作城市名片来介绍他们心仪的城市,从而达到全面提升英语综合能力的目的。
1、 单元设计依据和整体设计思路
在本单元Great cities of the world 的主题下,设定了三个递进式的话题Great cities of China, Great cities of the World, Make a plan to visit the great cities. 以教材内容为语言基础,以主题内容为语用基础,结合学生生活实际,体现循序渐进的学习规律和生活化课堂的教学理念。通过文本再构将整个情景串起来,使我们的教学更生动、有趣、完整,既让学生复习了旧有知识,又将教学活动与实际生活相结合,从而实现既掌握知识,又提升了语言运用能力的目标。

教学后记
本课的话题是介绍沿一带一路的城市。把国家的政策跟学习相结合起来,让学生在学习过程中对国家政治和经济政策有了一点了解,这样做对他们拓宽眼界和深度的思考有一定的帮助。
本课时采用了音频、图片和真实的地图,让学生在听说读写各方面都得到了一定的锻炼和发展。采用音频,学生的听力得到了锻炼;采用真实的地图,让学生在真实的情境中学以致用,以后在生活中学会看地图;采用图片和小组讨论、开放性的问题,让学生进行思考和口语的锻炼。特别是开放性的问题“开罗是不是一个伟大的城市”, 学生们各抒己见,有的说是,因为是埃及的首都,因为有着悠久的历史;有的学生则说不是,因为还很贫穷,也不安全,还有巫师的诅咒。孩子们在纷纷发言中,锻炼了批判性的思维,从而敢于从正反两方面看待问题。
