一、连词：when，while，as，before，after，till，until，since，as soon as等。

二、when 与while的区别：

when＋短暂性动作(常为一般时)或延续性动作(常为进行时)；
while＋延续性动作(常为进行时)。

e.g. When I stopped my car，a policeman came up to me.
My wife was cooking when I got home.
I was doing my homework when/while my father was watching TV.
While/When we were talking，the teacher came in.

三、till，until的用法：既可以用于肯定句也可用于否定句，可以互换。
I stayed there till/until I was asked to leave.
I didn't leave till/until I was told to.

四、since一般用于完成时。

五、如果主句是将来时、祈使句或者表将来的情态动词句时，从句用一般现在时，有时可用现在完成时，即所谓的“主将从现”的原则。

Don't get off the bus until the bus has stopped/stops.
I will write to you as soon as I arrive/have arrived.
Can you send me an e?mail when you get home?

注：while还可以用来表达对比(不是时间状语从句)。
My sister likes math while I am fond of English.(相当于并列句中的and或but)
Tom is good at the piano while Sam(is good at )the violin.

连词：because，since，as等。
because表示很强的原因；
since/as表示较弱的、不直接的原因，可以译成“既然”。

I am worried now because I have left my homework at home.

Since everyone is here，let's start our meeting.

注：because不与so连用。

连词：so that，in order that等。目的状语从句常是情态动词句。
Speak clearly so that/in order that they can understand you.

I got up at 5：00 so that/in order that I could catch the first bus.


当主句与从句主语相同时，从句还可改成不定式结构。

She eats much less than before so that/in order that she can lose some weight.

＝She eats much less than before so as to/in order to lose some weight.
