1.中国神话故事

2. Use conjunctions: unless, as soon as, so … that
1) unless是连词,意为“除非;如果不”,引导条件状语从句,含有否定意义,相当于if ... not 。引导的条件状语从句既可放在主句之前,也可放在主句之后。
We’ll go to the concert unless it rains.
Unless it rains, we’ll go to the concert.
注意:
unless引导条件状语从句时,如果主句是一般将来时,从句用一般
现在时表将来。(主将从现)
Unless it rains, we will go fishing. 如果天没有下雨,我们将去钓鱼。
如果主句谓语含有情态动词may, can, must, should等时,从句用一般现在时表将来。(主情从现)
He can’t help us unless he has free time. 如果他没有空闲时间,他不能够帮助我们。
如果主句是祈使句,从句用一般现在时表将来。(主祈从现)
Don’t open the door unless he comes. 除非他来,否则不要开门。
2) as soon as是连词词组,引导时间状语从句,意为“一……就……”。
My brother will look for a job as soon as he leaves school.
我的弟弟一毕业,他就找一份工作。
注意:
as soon as引导的时间状语从句中,如果主句是一般将来时,从句用一般
现在时表将来。(主将从现)
Tom will call you as soon as he gets there.
汤姆一到那儿就给你打电话。
指过去发生的动作时,主句和从句都用过去时。(主过从过)
They played soccer as soon as they were free.
3) so… that… 意为“如此……以至于”,引导结果状语从句,表示上文动作所产生的结果。
He ran so quickly that many people couldn’t catch up with him.
他跑得如此快以至于很多人不能追上他。
拓展:so… that…引导的结果状语从句可以与too…to…或者not…enough to 互换。
He is so young?that?he can’t go to?school.?他太小了以至于不能去上学
= He is too young?to go to?school.
= He is not old enough?to go to?school.
