Lesson 17是本单元的第五课,主要讲Li Yan一家来到世界公园,观看世界著名城市及景点的微缩景观:英国的大本钟,塔桥,美国的迪斯尼乐园,加拿大国家电视塔、尼亚加拉瀑布,澳大利亚悉尼歌剧院,通过对话学习,使学生理解、听说、认读主要语言目标Would you like to go to…? Of course.理解、听说、认读关于城市和景点的专有名词Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Washington D.C., Disneyland, CN Tower, the Niagara Falls, the Sydney Opera House。知道这些著名景点所在的国家及城市,简要了解Big Ben, the Tower Bridge的历史背景,开阔学生的视野,并能够在语境中综合运用本课所学知识进行旅行话题的日常交流。
二、学情分析
本课主要学习世界著名城市及景点,知道这些著名景点所在的国家及城市,是学生感兴趣的话题。对学生来说,有困难的是关于城市和景点的专有名词的认读,特别是尼亚加拉瀑布、悉尼歌剧院的发音,学生有一定困难,需反复操练。重点句型Would you like to go to…? Of course.在六年级上册接触过,对学生来说,学起来困难不大。介绍一些Big Ben, the Tower Bridge的历史背景,有助于开阔学生的视野,并能够很好的理解对话内容。

1.知识目标
1)学生能听懂、会说、认读景点名称:Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Washington D.C., Disneyland, CN Tower, the Niagara Falls, the Sydney Opera House.
2)学生能认读、理解并运用下列句型:
Would you like to go to…? Of course.

能够在真实语境中运用所学知识询问他人或表达自己的旅行计划。
3.情感目标
1)通过学习,增强爱护我们的世界、保护我们生存的地球的情感。
2)通过情景模仿以及角色表演,发展学生的语言交际能力,培养学生良好的合作习惯和学习兴趣。

Step 2. Presentation
1) T:So many beautiful places in the world. Would you like to travel around the world?
Ss: Sure, I’d love to.
T: We can also answer “Yes, of course.”
2)T: Let’s travel around the world.
We’ll travel around Britain, Canada, America and Australia.
Learn some famous places in Britain, Canada, America and Australia:
Big Ben, the Tower Bridge, Washington D.C., Disneyland, CN Tower, the Niagara Falls, the Sydney Opera House.
Big Ben is in London. It’s very tall and old.
Tower Bridge is in London, too. It’s beautiful and fantastic.
CN Tower is one of the tallest towers in the world.
Niagara Falls is in Canada. It’s amazing.
Disneyland is the first and the most famous theme park.
Washington D.C. is the capital city of America.
Sydney Opera House is very famous in Australia.
