Recently we had a heated discussion about whether students should make friends on line. Opinions are divided into two parts.
Some students are in favor of it. First of all, the internet helps them make many friends. In addition, chatting on line, students can express their opinions freely. Besides, if they made friends on line, it may be helpful to their foreign language studies.
However, the others are strongly against it. In the first place, they say making friends on line is a waste of time. What’s more, making friends on line may have a bad effect on their studies. Also, if they made friends on line, they might be cheated by someone.
Personally speaking, I support the idea bacause I think students should place their study, health and safety before other things.
