If you argue with your friend, will you forgive him or her? Most people prefer to forgive others.
Researchers have found that we would like to believe that people are good at heart, even when they have behaved badly. And when these “bad people”do something nice, people will be likely to forgive their mistakes and have a positive(积极的)opinion of them.
In an experiment, more than 1,500 people were asked to watch two strangers. The strangers were told that they would receive money if they shocked(电击)another person with electricity. The “good” stranger refused the deal and the “bad” one accepted it.
These people were then asked to judge the strangers based on their decisions. They reported having a positive opinion of the “good”stranger. But they were not confident that the“bad” stranger was truly bad. If they then saw the bad person do something good, they were more likely to have a positive impression of him or her.
Scientists believe that it is human nature to see the best in others. This nature can help us develop and keep healthy social relationships. Sometimes, people behave badly by accident.
But we might get a bad impression of them anyway and therefore end our relationships with them. But what happens if it is found later that this person is not truly bad? We may have lost a good friend.
61. According to the researchers, most people ____.
A. will argue with their friends
B. like to forgive others' mistakes
C. will make the same mistake
D. like to make many friends

B. Because bad people need to be encouraged.
C. Because it's natural to see the best in others.
D. Because people only believe what they see.
65. What is the last paragraph trying to say?
A. Being forgiving helps us keep relationships.
B. Ending a relationship is not an easy decision.
C. Believing others is important in a relationship.
D. Judging strangers is not as easy as judging friends.

A group of working adults got together to visit their teacher. The teacher was glad to see them, and they talked about everything in their life. All of a sudden, conversations soon turned into complaints(抱怨) about stress in work and life.
The teacher just smiled and went to the kitchen to get different cups—some in plastic, some in glass, some plain?looking and some looked rather expensive. The teacher offered his students the cups to get drinks for themselves.
When all students had a cup in hand with water, the teacher spoke,“If you noticed, all the nice?looking and expensive cups were taken up,leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. It is normal that you only want the best for yourselves, but that is the beginning of your problems and stress. What all of you wanted was water, not the cup,but you went for the better cups. ”
Just like in life,if life is water, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold life, but the quality of life does not change. If you only care about the cup,you won't have time to enjoy the water in it.
66. How did the teacher feel when his students visited him?

How can he compete(竞争)with them? Robinson makes up for this with his ability to jump. Without moving forwards or backwards, he can jump up to 110 cm. However, confidence helps him more. “People talk about my height all the time, but I don't really feel smaller than anyone else,”said Robinson. “I always think I'm on fire(充满激情的). ”No matter who you are or what you've won, he's going to come at you. With that spirit, he has won the NBA Slam Dunk Contest three times. Also, he has made many wonderful blocks(盖帽).

Friendship Day is a great day for celebrating friendship. It falls on the first Sunday of August every year. Celebrating the festival was firstly started by the US in 1935. But now this doesn't only happen in the US. People in other countries are interested in it, too.
The idea of spending the day with friends was spread all over the world. With more and more countries joining in the celebrations, Friendship Day soon became an international festival.
Between 1935 and 1997, Friendship Day didn't have a symbol(象征),like Santa Claus for Christmas. However, in 1997, the United Nations named Winnie the Pooh as the world's Ambassador (大使)of Friendship.
The traditional celebrations include activities such as meeting with friends and exchanging(交换) cards, flowers and gifts. Some people may have parties with their friends. Some may have lunch or dinner together. Others may hang out or go to the movies with friends on this special day. These are popular among all age groups from teenagers to old people.
Although Friendship Day and its celebrations may have changed over the years, the basic idea behind the festival remains the same. People enjoy the moment they spend together and express love and care to their friends.

In my opinion,a kind person should be polite to others and he can also make others feel warm when talking. He's able to make many good friends and get on well with others. He must have a heart full of love and he's ready to help others. When others are in trouble,he can always give them a hand. He cares about others more than himself. A kind person doesn't always want to get things from others.
I hope everyone can be a kind and loving man. Then our world will become better and better.
