VII、Teaching procedure:
Step I. Lead in
1. Look at three pictures and guess their names.
Tablet, desktop, laptop
2. Look at a computer picture, ca you name the parts of a computer.
Keyboard, mouse, screen, monitor
Step II.Oral- English.
1. Discuss following questions with the students.
Question:
A: How do you use the internet?
B: I like to……/I like doing……
2. Show some information and work in pairs to ask and answer.
Play games, watch movies ,listen to the music, send or receive e-mails , read books, find the information, learn English, shop, chat with friends , book the tickets
3. Interview your classmates: What does he/she like to do/doing sth on a computer
Step III. New words
1. Follow the radio to read the words correctly and fluently.
2. Give two minutes to read and recite the words.
3. Ask some students to finish the practice and check their pronunciations.
Step IV. Reading and understanding
1. Follow the tape to read the lesson.
2. Work in pairs, Tick the things that Jenny and her classmates like to do on the Internet. (Page 51, part one)
3. Play games and check their understanding.
4. Work in groups to read the lesson and answer following questions.
a. What does Jenny like to use the Internet to do?
b. What does Danny like doing? (3)
c. How many people are following Danny's blog? (3)
d. What can Danny and his classmates do if they want to have a meeting? (3)
e. What does Brian like doing on the Internet? (4)
f. How will Brian send his research to his Grandpa? (4)
5. Work in pairs to translate following phrases into English.

6. Give two minutes to read and recite the phrases, Then check their memories.
Step V. The Grammar: Adverbial Clause with “if”.
1.复习“when”时间状语从句与“because”原因状语从句,
(1)主句从句时态保持一致,主句一般将来时,从句使用一般现在时。
(2)从句位于句首,从句主句之间分开。
2. “if”引导的是条件状语从句,意思是“如果,假如”。其用法如“because” “when”。
另外,引导的是条件状语从句还有其他的连接词—unless(除非),as long as(只要)。
E.g. If you work hard, you’ll _____ (get) there in the end.
If you don’t stop him, he will _____ (play) games the whole day.
If it _____ (rain ) tomorrow, Danny will not go to the supermarket to buy donuts.
If you _____ (go) to bed now, I’ll read you a bedtime story.
Step VI. Finish following practice.
Fill in the blanks with proper words or phrases.
1. She ________ (过去曾经) live in Beijing.
2. Ms. Cox wants to _________ (和……聊聊) Jenny’s parents.
3. ________________ (通过互联网), we can learn English.
4. You can send your homework to me _________ (通过邮件).

1. Choose three things you use the Internet for and write a short passage about it.
2. Preview the new words and phrases in Lesson 20.

八.Teaching reflection:(教后反思)
本课是冀教版八下英语教材中Unit 4 The Internet Connects Us的第一课。本课涉及互联网的应用和介绍。本堂课的收获和优点:
1.学生在本堂课中得到了较为充分的口头训练,而且面比较广。尤其负责每个小组的组长同学,发言更为积极。课堂上在我极力鼓励和表扬下,一些原来在课堂上很难开口读英语的学生,本堂课上有极大的进步。
2.能充分利用多媒体容量大,直观性强的特点。利用图片加以配文来调动学生思考的积极性。使课堂生动有趣。
从本堂课这两点收获中,我觉得现在的英语教学要以学生为主体,教师为引导。多鼓励差生开口说英语,并能及时地表扬他们。教师要有课堂效益意识。教学效益首先体现在课堂教学信息量、教学活动的广度和密度以及媒体的使用上。有效的媒体手段有助于课堂容量、密度和速度的提高。尤其是在英语课堂上适当地使用多媒体手段,不但可以活跃课堂,更能提高学生的参与面,短、频、快的大容量课堂节奏能有效的吸引并集中学生的学习注意,从而最终提高学习的听课效益;其次,课堂效益意识还体现在教学的设计中要充分为学而教,以学生如何有效获取知识,提高能力的标准来设计教学。课堂设计要有助于学生在课堂上积极参与,有助于他们有效内化知识与信息,复习过程中要重视学生学法的指导,在教学中恰当地渗透中考的信息,拓宽教学内容。
本堂课的不足之处:
1.本节英语课上我的讲解基本上还拘泥于教材的信息,而开放型的、能激发学生想象力与创造力和发散学生思维的课堂比例还较小。
2.上课要及时纠正学生在发音和语法上的错误
针对以上不足之处,我觉得今后在教学中应从以下几方面来提高:
首先,备课不仅仅要备教材,还要备学生。要根据学生英语基础的实际情况,设计一些开放性的资料来提高课堂教学质量。当然设计的教学素材不能脱离教材本身。
其次,英语课堂上我们应及时有效获取学情反馈,有效地进行课前回顾,课堂小结等环节的落实。为有效地提高英语课堂教学效益,我们还可以制定科学的、操作性强的、激励性的英语学习效果评价制度,以便在课堂教学过程中做出针对性的调整。
