二、一般过去时
1.一般过去时的概念
  一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,常和表示过去的时间状语连用, 如:last year, yesterday等; 也可表示过去经常反复发生的动作,常和often, always等频度副词连用。
Example:①I saw him in the street yesterday.
昨天我在街上看见他了。
   ②Li Mei always went to school on foot
last year.
去年李梅总是步行上学。
  
2. 一般过去时的几种句型
肯定句:主语+动词的过去式+其他.
Example:He went to the toy store yesterday.
否定句:
1)动词be和情态动词过去式后直接加not??????
Eg.?I?was?not?in?Chengdu?last?year.
2)?当是实义动词时,加助动词didn’t后跟动词原形 ?
主语+did not (didn’t)+动词原形+其他.
Eg.?I?didn’t?telephone?my?parents?yesterday.?

3. 动词过去式
(1)规则动词过去式有四条变化规律:
  ①一般在动词原形末尾直接加上-ed。如:look-looked。
  ②以不发音的字母e结尾的动词,去e再加-ed。如:live-lived。
  ③末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节,先双写这个辅音字
母,再加-ed。如:stop-stopped。
  ④末尾是辅音字母+y结尾的动词,先变y为i,然后再加-ed。
如:study-studied。
(2)不规则动词的过去式需特殊记忆。如:am(is)-was, are-were,
go-went, come-came, take-took, have (has)-had等。

三、规则动词过去式的发音问题
加 ed 之后的读音问题,其实就一条“怎么方便就怎么发音”,这个发音和单词的最后一个音有关系,我们先看清辅音结尾的情况(t 结尾的除外,随后会说到):look → looked: /lukt/hope → hoped: /hupt/dress → dressed: /drest/我们发现,清辅音后面都发清辅音 / t /, 原因很简单,ed 之前是个清音,生带不动,而 / d / 是 个浊音---声带得震动,如果清音后面的 ed 再读/d/, 就是声带不震动之后再启动,那是非常费事的。

再看单词最后是浊音的情况,
首先注意,浊音包括浊辅音和所有的元音,因为所有的元音发音时,声带都震动。
(除了 字母 d 结尾的词,随后再说)live → lived: /livd/lie → lied: /laid/fill → filled: /fild/没错,浊音之后的ed 就发浊音 /d/ ,元音和前面的分析一样:为了方便!因为ed之前是个浊音,声带震动,随后的ed 就顺势读成 浊音 /d/。通过以上两种情况,我们可以总结规律:清后清,浊后浊。

清清/t/,浊浊/d/,元也浊/d/,/t//d/后面发/Id/

遇到 t,d 结尾的词另外说,比如:wait -- waited ,不能把 -ted 读成 / tt /, 同样,也不能把 -ded 读成 / dd /。该怎么办呢?可以增加一个音,就是把 ed 中的 字母 e 也发音读成 /-id/ 。这是英语语音学中著名的“增音现象”,在 +s,+ ed 等动词变化中常见。wait → waited:/ weitid /paint → painted:/ peintid /add → added:/ did /end → ended:/endid/其实英语中的语音现象,包括各种音变、失音、连音等,都可以这样去解释:为了省劲儿,为了省事儿。

四、练习与小结
一般过去时口诀
一般过去时并不难,表示过去动作、状态记心间。
动词要用过去式,时间状语句末站。
否定句很简单,didn’t 站在动词原形前,其他部分不要变。
一般疑问句也好变,did放在句子前,主语、动词原形、其他部分依次站。
特殊疑问句也简单,疑问词加一般疑问句记心间。
  最后一条请注意,动词过去式要牢记。
