Look at the pictures and guess what the passage is about. Write the title on the line. Then read and check your guess. We had a birthday party for Kangkang at his home last Sunday. His parents bought lots of food and drinks for us. We brought many presents for him. Each of us gave Kangkang a birthday card, too. We made the cards by hand. He liked them very much.
There was a big birthday cake with 13 candles on it. We all sat around the cake. Kangkang made a wish, and then he blew out the candles. We danced, sang songs and played games at the party. Everyone had a good time.

We had a birthday party for Kangkang at his home last Sunday.这里使用have的过去式 had 是为和划线部分时间相一致。 His parents bought lots of food and drinks for us.bought 是buy 的过去式,buy...for sb,因为朝向性并不明显,使用介词for。food and drinks 可以认为是一种固定的结构,food不加s,drink使用复数,类似的还有 vegetables and fruit。 We brought many presents for him.也可以说成 We bought him many presents. 这种说法更显得亲切随意,是口语中更常见的表达。
Each of us gave Kangkang a birthday card,too.each是主语的中心词,注意它是个单数,不过一般过去时不存在单三的情况,如果是一般现在时,就需要格外小心。另外,each of us 和 we each 不一样,后者中心词是we , 是复数。 We made the cards by hand.by hand 作为方式状语,固定。不要用成 by hands!大家比较熟悉的是 by bus ,by car ......,表示方式的时候,用单数。
