Did you sing a song at the party?用到实意动词的一般疑问句，须使用 did 提问，did 是助动词do的过去式，和 do 一样没有实际动作含义，却有很重要的时间含义。 助动词的基本功能，就是帮助主动词完成时间和数的表达。简单的说：do用于现在、非单三；does 用于现在、单三；did 用于过去各种数。
Did you sing a Chinese song or an English song?An English song.使用选择疑问句提问，是希望对方选其中一个选项来回答，其语调前升后降，这种非上扬的语调，也表明这种句子不是期待你肯定或者否定回答，所以平时读书，注意语调，它是语感养成的重要因素。
Did you play the piano?No, I didn't. But Maria did.红色的did是个代动词，代替 played，使用did是为避免说话时重复。
What did Sally do?
She danced.过去时的特殊疑问句，须使用助动词 did(主语是who的句子除外)，回答也自然要用过去时，否则就会答非所问，违反对话的“合作原则”。在给一组对话，注意问答的动词使用。-Where did you go yesterday?-I went to the beach.-How did you go there?-I went by car.-Who drove the car?-My dad did.-When did you come back?-We got home at 5 P.M.
What about Tom?What did Tom do ? 的简略问法。
He performed some magic tricks. He likes magic tricks very much.第一句是生日聚会上的事，故用过去时，次句为平时的描述，使用一般现在时。 Did Kangkang enjoy himself?enjoy himself 就是玩得开心，这句话可以替换为：Did Kangkang have a good time?
