Oh! Polly, you can speak English! Can you sing an English song?这个小节是讲 can 的一个用法：表示“能力”，此外 can 还可以表示“可能性”。情态动词 can 不能独立作谓语用，要想表达“能”干什么什么、“会”干什么什么，后面得放一个原形动词，这个原形动词我们把它叫“主动词”。 can 有过去式---could，可见它可以反应时间，所以 can 具有时间助动词的特点，于是你也可以认为：情态动词也是一种助动词，其用法也和助动词do类似：后面跟动词原形；提问的时候须提前；否定的时候后面加 not；有过去式变化---could。
You are so smart!smart - 聪明的，敏锐的。smart phone ：智能手机 What else can you do?此句注意 else 的位置，常常考的是不定代词后跟 else 的用法，如 anything else, something else, someone else 等。如：Whom else have you invited? 你还邀请了别的谁？What else do you want? 您还想要点别的什么？I am waiting for someone else. 我在等别人。

表示“拿”的动词：
take--从你身边拿走；
bring -- 从别的地方那到你身边；
fetch -- 先从你身边离开，过去再拿过来。 I can't count so many flowers.can 的否定句，在can 后面加 not。副词 so 修饰 many ，如此多的花。
