1. Could you please…? 意为“请你……好吗?”。其中could是情态动词,表示委婉语气, 后接动词原形。其肯定回答可以用 Yes, sure. /Sure/Certainly/That's OK./ No problem.”等。否定回答可以用“Sory, I can't./ Sorry, I'm afraid not. Because…”.

注意: Could you please…?”的否定结构Could you please not ...?

此处, two hours 虽为复数,但却表达一种整体的概念。当时间、长度、距离或其它可数名词表示一个完整的整体概念用作主语时,其后的谓语动词应用单数形式与之匹配。这是“主谓一致”概念中一个值得注意的地方。
Two months is quite a long time.两个月是挺长的一段时间。
Thirty students is not a big number for a class.30人对一个班来说算不上是个大数目。

有关家务劳动( Some ideas on doing housework in different countries)
