TV Review – the Underground Railroad
1. Which aspects does a film/TV review usually cover?
Part 1: A brief introduction of the film/TV programme (including the title, the director, main actors/actresses, etc.)

2. What might the Underground Railroad be about?
The Underground Railroad was the name given to a system that helped slaves from the American South escape to the safety of the North and Canada.
Scan the passage and find out what the Underground Railroad really is.
Summarize the main idea of each paragraph.

12 Years A Slave was adapted from the true story of Solomon Northrup.
The film took home the Academy Award for Best Picture, the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
Now, the English Society invites us to submit a film review based on it.
