1. What does Anne feel about her mother from the following sentences?
2. What kind of grammar can you find in the sentences in red?
I’m glad she was satisfied with me anyhow, I would feel so sad if I thought I was a disappointment to her-- because she didn’t live very long after that, you see. She died of fever when I was just three months old. I do wish she’d lived long enough for me to remember calling her mother. I think it would be so sweet to say ‘mother’, don’t you?

品读:Chapter 10 A bend in Anne’s road
In the evening, Anne sat in her room. Through her window, the stars shone very brightly in the sky. Before Matthew passed away, her future had seemed like a smooth road. However, now there was a bend in the road. But it made her life so much more exciting because she didn’t know what was beyond the bend. She realized that no matter what happened, the flowers would always bloom. Nothing would be able to take away her dreams and imagination.
