Task
I. Teaching objects Knowledge: Students will be able to: know more about sports. master some new words and expressions: I love... I enjoy... I like swimming. It’s fun.etc. Ability: Students will be able to write a short passage about their favorite sports using the useful expressions given in the text. Emotion: Students will learn to love sports and and they need to do sports often. II. Key points of teaching: Students will be able to express their opinions about their favorite sport. III. Step I Greetings Greetings Greetings Create the atmosphere of the theme. 每个单元的话题写作任务对学生来说都是有一定的难度的,学生总是会犯一些错误,有些句子一用就错,所以给学生一个提纲或者框架结构是很有必要的,另外还要给他们提供一些写作中使用的常用表达法。这会使得写作对他们来说轻松一些,也会增加他们的信心。
Step II Warming-up Brainstorming questions. Ss answer them as quickly as possible. Create the atmosphere of the theme.
Step III A game Ss are grouped into four by using chalks of different colors. Ss write down any words, phrases, drill patterns they’ve learned in this unit. (first in closed groups, then in open pairs). Review some relevant contents and get ready for the writing.
Step IV Presentation Read a passage about my favorite football player. Learn some useful expressions and try to understand the passage. Present the target langue and pave the way for writing.
Step V Practice Help Ss learn the target expressions. Ss read the useful expressions on the Bb and try to learn them by heart. Make sure Ss know how to use the target language and prepare for the writing.
Step VI Practice Play the tape about a passage written by David. Ss listen and answer some questions. Learn further and pave the way.
Step VII Practice Part B. Ss work in pairs. Cooperate to find out the need of the poor.
Step VIII Writing Tell Ss the passage should be divided into three paragraphs. Ss Write a passage about their favorite sport. Use the target language freely.
Step X Summary Make a summary. Recall of the lesson
Step XI Homework Write a passage about their favorite sport. Write a passage about their favorite sport. Consolidate what they’ve learned in this period.

Step I Greetings Greetings Greetings Create the atmosphere of the theme. 语音对于学习语言来说应该是非常重要的,可是学生们却很不重视语音的学习,他们认为只要会写单词,考试能得高分就是最终的目的,本节课我纠正了他们的这种错误思想,作为交际用的语言,语音应该是最为重要的部分。
Step II Warming-up Do “Please”game. Ss response it. Stimulte Ss’ interest in learning English.
Step III Presentation Give Ss the explanations of open and closed syllables and give them some examples. Ss try to understand the concepts of them and can recognize open and closed syllables. It’s a must to know the rules.
Step IV Revision Help Ss to say out what they’ve learnt in Unit 1 by revising some tongue twisters, poems and proverbs. Revise how to read the five vowel letters in open syllables. So that they can learn the pronunciation of the five vowel letters in closed syllables better.
Step V Practice Teach how to pronunce [?] [e] [i] [?] [?]. Ss learn how to read them according to the rules given on the screen and practice them. Give the students a real situation so that they have a reason for listening.
Step VI Practice Help Ss go through the table on Page 27.Play the tape in Exercise A. Ss listen to the tape and read after it. Help them find the different sounds that five vowels make in closed syllables and do ex A individually, Then check them. Practice the students’ listening.
Step VII Practice Ss do Ex B and C individually, Then together. Ss do Ex B and C individually, Then together. Encourage the students to help each other and increase their confidence.
Step VIII Summary Make a summary. Know the usages of the simple present tense of the verb to do. Recall of the lesson
Step X Homework Read Part A, B, and C. Consolidate what they’ve learned in this period.

Step I Greetings Greetings Greetings Create the atmosphere of the theme. 阅读课本来就比较枯燥,学生也没什么兴趣,所以这节课的气氛略显不足,下次再设计阅读课的时候还要多些学生感兴趣的活动来提高学生的积极性。

Step I Greetings Greetings Greetings Create the atmosphere of the theme. 综合技能课,主要训练学生的听和说的能力,对学生来说有些难度,但是通过精心的活动设计,使得学生们的兴趣比较高涨,但是在听的方面还是有点难度,我采取了小组合作模式,先单独听后小组核对,既能使得学生听的准确率有所提高,也使得他们信心倍增。说的部分也相对能有信心的张口去说。
Step II Lead-in Greetings: How’s your sports meeting? The teacher will show some photos of the sports meeting which was held two days ago. Get ready for this period. Create the atmosphere of the theme.
Step III Vocabulary Review some words about sports and expand the students’ vocabulary about sports by showing pictures. Learn more words about sports. Expand the students’ vocabulary about sports.
Step IV Pre-listening T: What sport do you like? Talk about their favorite sports using the words they learned. Consolidate the words they learned and get ready for listening as well.
Step V Context T: Mr Wu is asking his students about their favorite sports. Listen to the conversation and help Mr Wu find out his students’ favorite sports. Get to know the situation about listening. Give the students a real situation so that they have a reason for listening.
Step VI Listening Play the tape twice for the students to listen. 1. Listen to the tape and try to do part A1 , then listen again to check their answers. 2. Listen to part A2 and complete the notes, then listen again to check their answers. Practice the students’ listening.
Step VII Post-listening 1. Ask the students to check their answers in pairs. 2. Encourage the students to give their answers and correct them if necessary. 1. Check their answers in pairs. 2. Give their answers. Encourage the students to help each other and increase their confidence.
Step VIII Speak-up 1. Tell the students Sandy and Millie are asking about what they often do after school. 2. The teacher gives a question: what does Sandy/ Millie often do after school? 3. Encourage the students to talk about what they often do after school using the conversation as a model. 1. Read Part B and answer two questions. 2. Make a new dialogue to talk about what they often do after school. 3. Show their dialogues in pairs. 4. I. Ability: Students will be able to use the simple present tense of the verb to do correctly. Emotion: Students will learn to love sports and love others. II. Key points of teaching: Students will be able to make positive and negative sentences using the verb to do in the simple present tense. III. Teaching difficulties: Students will be able to remember the third person singular forms of the verbs and to use the simple present tense of the verb to do in the specific context. IV. Step I Greetings Greetings Greetings Create the atmosphere of the theme. 这是一节语法课,学生们对be动词在一般现在时态用法掌握情况良好,但是行为动在一般现在时态里的用法掌握略有难度,尤其是三单形式的使用上,学生们总会难免犯些错误,这部分需要加强练习,课后多做。
Step II Lead-in Show two short passages. Read and do it individually. Help them revise the simple present tense of the verb to be.
Step III Presentation Show a picture and some sentences to tell them when we use the simple present tense of the verb to do. Listen and understand the meanings of the simple present tense of the verb to do. Make students understand the meanings the simple present tense of the verb to do.
Step IV Presentation Show the sentences and tell students the structures of posotive and negative sentences in the simple present tense of the verb to do. Listen carefully , understand and remember the structures of the positive and negative sentences. Tell students the structures and help them to form them ,especially when the subject is the third person singular form.
Step V Practice Ask Ss to finish the exercises in according to the exampls. Finish the exercises on their own and check the answers in pairs. Check their understanding of this part.
Step VI Presentation Tell students how to add “s” “es” to the verbs. Each student should remember the rules o the third person singular forms of the verbs. Tell and explain the rules of the third person singular forms of the verbs.
Step VII Practice 1. Ask them to complete the profile and the sentences using the simple present tense of the verbs. 2. Offer Ss some exercises to do in class Students finish the two exercises on their own. Check if the students have mastered the rules the third person singular forms of the verbs.
