学习内容
本节课内容选自牛津英语深圳版五年级(下)第十单元，本单元是一篇有关发明及其作用的会话。发明创造对小学生来讲既神秘又有吸引力，通过本课的学习可以使学生了解发明对人类生活产生的巨大影响，从而激发学生进行发明创造的愿望，拓展学生的思路，培养他们的创造性思维。
学情现状
五年级学生有一定的英语学习基础，能根据课堂指令完成相应的任务，能和同学们进行合作学习，能用英语就不同的话题进行简单的交流对话。初步形成了对英语的感知能力和良好的学习习惯。但随着年龄的増加，他们谈论的话題更加深入，比较喜欢挑战更加综合性的任务，教师需创造真实生活中的情境，设置有梯度，有挑战性的任务，让学生在语境中体验理解真实语言，并在此基础上学习和运用语言，激发他们的学习及表达兴趣。

)按照新课标的要求，通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力，促进心智发展，提高综合人文素养。强调学习过程要重视语言学习的实践性和应用性，即用英语做事情的能力。整堂课中，教师应该完全是一个引导者、组织者、评论者，仔细观察学生的探究活动，发现和鼓励学生的创造精神，对学生进行较好的语言和思维的训练。
思维导图可以把文本知识显性化，言语信息图像化，能帮助学生梳理学习内容，便于学生掌握整个知识架构，其重点突出，层次分明的结构特征，有利于学生对所学材料进行比较，并能按照意义进行分类，还很容易帮助学生找出课文中主要和次要的内容，并用自己的方式把它们联系起来。本堂课就可以引导学生利用思维导图进行内容总结和输出展示，以达到更好的思维训练。
