。阅读是为了提高理解能力并发现问题，最终解决问题。最后的复述课文是巩固所学内容。小组讨论这一环节注重对学生知识的复习，使他们对知识学习的热情更加高涨。作业是学生总体能力的巩固与提高,并加强学生的爱师情结。

在整个教学过程中，我根据新课标的教学理念，充分开发课程资源，设计了一系列生动有趣的教学活动，并用图片、调查表等服务于课堂教学，最大限度地调动了学生的学习热情，体现了师生互动、生师互动、生生互动的新的教学理念和教学模式。注重了培养学生的表达力、表现力及英语的应用能力，营造了美好的课堂氛围，达到了学生愿学、乐学的教学目的，收到了良好的教学效果。

教学设计思想
新课程英语教学要求听、说、读、写全面发展，新课标要求教师要勇于创新，勇于挑战自我，对教学内容根据教学需要进行必要的拓展和延伸，并在教学过程中向学生渗透情意因素，这就要求英语课堂教学设计要精致、完美、行之有效并富于独创性。在这一环节，我设置两组图片，一组是袁隆平和爱迪生的图片，另一组是海伦凯乐的图片，通过这两组图片，教育学生以健康的心态去面对人生的挫折，树立正确的人生观和价值观，从而使本课的情感目标得以完美体现。
新课程标准要求课堂设计要与本节课的教学目标和教学内容紧密结合，因此在本课的阅读教学中，我分别设计略读（让学生在有限的时间内提高阅读效率）、精读（让学生分组讨论，找出每一段的main
idea），这样设计不但能提高学生的合作探究意识，培养学生分析、归纳以及解决问题的能力，而且帮助学生形成正确的学习策略。
总而言之，在整个教学过程中，我尽可能地把《新课标》中的教学理念，体现在了本课课堂设计的各个环节。
在以后的教学活动中将更进一步去研究、去完善，力争做的更好，我自己更要积极进取，不断提高自身素质，不断反思自己教学中的不足，尽最大努力使自己的英语教学水平再上新的台阶。
媒体设计思路
初中学生活泼好动，对事物充满好奇，利用多媒体技术激发学生的学习兴趣，创设有利于激发和支持学生想象的情景，可以优化教学过程。
1、开始导入图片，创设情景，为引入新课创造了良好的氛围。
2、新授环节播放多媒体，使抽象的教学内容“有声有色”，
多种感官共同参与，使学生更准确生动地感知所学知识，
3、在操练环节采用多媒体，使学生的视、听、说感官同步活动，延长了学生有意注意的时间，提高了教学效率。
