Who

Confucius?
Confucius,
regarded
as
China’s
greatest
philosopher,
lived
his
life
from
551
to
479
BC
around
today’s
Qufu
in
western
Shandong.
Like
many
other
members
of
the
educated
elite,
Confucius
traveled
widely
among
the
states,
offering
his
services
as
a
political
advisor.

Confucius
was
a
teacher
who
had
many
disciples
(弟子).
Confucius’s
works
were
collected
into
the
“Analects”
(论语),
a
collection
of
sayings,
written
down
by
his
followers.

kindness,
mutual

appreciation
