二、完形填空
Every
Friday
afternoon,
Anni,
a
primany
school
teacher,
asks
her
students
to
write
down
who
they’d
like
to
1
the
following
week.
She
also
asks
the
students
to
recommend
one
student
who
has
been
an
2
student
that
week.
The
result
is
kept
secret
and
nobody
3
her
knows
it.
And
every
Friday
afternoon,
4
the
students
go
home,
Anni
takes
out
those
pieces
of
paper
and
studies
the
names.
Who
is
not
getting
requested
by
anyone
else?
Who
never
gets
5
enough
to
be
recommended?
Who
had
a
lot
of
friends
last
week
but
6
this
week?
You
see,
Anni
is
not
looking
for
a
new
seating
form
or
“excellent
students.”
In
fact,
she
is
looking
for
7
children
unnoticed
by
their
classmates.
Anni’s
special
method
is
like
taking
an
X-ray
of
a
classroom
to
see
into
the
hearts
of
students.
It
is
also
like
looking
for
gold
---
those
little
8
who
need
a
little
help.
And
it
did
work
because
such
kids
are
often
too
9
to
share
their
loneliness.
But
as
she
said
---
the
10
comes
out
on
those
little
pieces
of
paper.
After
she
watched
the
documentary
about
teenagers’
violence(暴力),
this
11
woman
knew
that
All
Violence
Begins
With
Loneliness.
She
found
that
the
children
unnoticed
will
try
to
be
noticed
in
any
way
12
.
And
so
she
13
to
start
fighting
violence
early.
When
she
sits
in
her
14
classroom
and
studies
those
names,
15
Anni
is
doing
---
is
SAVING
LIVES.

三、阅读理解
A
It
was
the
Greek
shopkeeper
who
taught
me
about
the
power
of
being
kind.
In
2008
I
left
Spain
to
study
alone
in
London.
My
parents
had
to
bring
up
my
three
younger
sisters
and
two
younger
brothers,
so
I
found
three
part-time
jobs
to
pay
for
my
studies.
I
worked
early
mornings
and
late
nights,
so
I
was
tired,
really
tired,
all
the
time.
Unfortunately,
I
got
a
cold
and
had
a
very
high
fever.
Because
I
had
spent
all
my
free
time
working
since
I
came
to
London.
I
hardly
took
part
in
any
activities
and
I
had
no
friends.
Besides,
I
was
too
shy
to
communicate
with
others
and
ask
others
for
help.
After
sleeping
on
the
sickbed
for
two
days,
I
went
out
to
get
some
food.
Normally,
I
went
to
the
supermarket,
but
this
time
I
went
into
the
Greek
shop,
a
small
corner
shop,
because
it
was
closer.
I
picked
up
some
food
and
gave
it
to
the
shopkeeper,
who
asked
me,
"You
look
terrible,
my
boy!
You
are
not
feeling
well,
right?"
I
said
"Yes"
in
a
low
voice.
She
pointed
at
the
salami(腊肠)
and
bread
I
was
buying
and
offered,
"I
can
make
you
a
sandwich,
so
you
don't
have
to
do
it
yourself.
"
I
nodded
without
saying
a
word.
So,
she
made
the
sandwich
and
asked
me
to
wait
a
moment.
She
went
into
the
back
room
and
came
again
with
a
bowl
of
hot
soup.
"It
will
warm
you
up,
"
she
said
with
a
friendly
smile.
What
really
warmed
me
up
was
not
the
soup.
It
was
her
smile
that
told
me
she
cared
me.
Her
kindness
reminded
me
of
my
mother.
I
had
been
quite
shy,
but
from
that
day
on,
I
did
not
let
shyness
prevent
me
from
communicating
with
and
being
kind
to
others.
Now
I
work
in
a
children's
hospital
in
Africa.
I
love
my
work
and
people
around
me.
I
always
bring
my
smile
and
kindness
to
them.

Almost
every
Chinese
person
can
recite
the
two
lines
of
the
famous
poem,
"Every
grain
on
the
plate
comes
from
hard
work(谁知盘中餐,
粒粒皆辛苦)."
But
sadly,
many
of
us
don't
actually
get
the
real
meaning
of
these
lines:
Don't
waste
food.
A
CCTV
program,
News
One
Plus
One,
reported
that
the
food
Chinese
people
throw
away
every
year
is
enough
to
feed
200
million
people
for
a
year.
Do
we
have
too
much
food?
Of
course
not.
According
to
the
UN
World
Food
Program,
there
were
925
million
hungry
people
around
the
world
in
2010,
especially
in
developing
countries.
Six
million
children
die
of
hunger
every
year.
Chinese
people
are
well
known
for
being
hospitable(好客的)
and
generous.
Many
even
feel
that
they
lose
face
if
their
guests
have
eaten
all
the
food
on
the
table.
Luckily,
a
number
of
people
have
realized
the
importance
of
saving
food.
Last
November,
Li
Hong,
a
waitress
in
a
restaurant
in
Nanjing,
got
fired
because
she
took
some
leftover
food
home
for
her
son.
Many
people
stood
by
her
side
and
criticized(批评)
the
waste
of
food.
What
should
we
do
in
our
daily
lives
to
waste
less
food?
Here
are
some
tips:
·Do
not
order
too
much
in
a
restaurant.
Only
order
as
much
as
you
want
to
eat.
If
you
cannot
eat
all
the
food
you
ordered,
take
the
rest
of
it
home.
·Don't
be
too
picky(挑剔的)
about
food.
Some
food
may
not
taste
great,
but
your
body
needs
it.
·Keep
an
eye
on
what
food
you
have
at
home.
Don't
buy
too
much,
especially
for
vegetables
and
fruit.
