since(自从……)常常引导短语或从句，用于现在完成时的句子中。since引导从句时，从句中一般使用过去时。再如：
I‘ve had these soft toys since I was a child.我还是个孩子的时候，就有这些毛绒玩具。
Since that unfortunate accident last week,I haven't been sleeping well at all.自从上周发生了那次不幸的事故之后，我一直睡得很不好。

1)a couple of 有两种意思：其一，表示具体的数量“两个”，指两个相同的人或物体；其二，表示数量不定的“少数几个”，作这种虚指的用法时，具体意思往往视上下文和具体的语境而决定。例如：
e.g.You have to wait for a couple of hours for the clothes to dry completely.你得等几个小时让这些衣服完全干燥。
e.g.Look!There are a couple of boys waiting for you at the door.瞧！门口有两三个男生正在等你。
2）介词for也常用在现在完成时的句子中，后面引出表示时间的词或短语，说明某种情况已经持续了一段时间。再如：
e.g.Jeff has had his bike for more than 10 years.杰夫已经拥有他的自行车超过10年了。

Durative verbs & non-durative verbs
一，延续性动词和非延续性动词的区别
按照动作发生的方式·过程的长短，动词可以分为延续性动词和非延续性动词。
延续性动词 延续性动词表示能够延续或产生持久影响的动作 know learn work stand keep have live stay等
非延续性动词 即瞬间动词，表示不能延续的动作 open close finish come go reach die
get to leave buy 等
二，延续性动词和非延续性动词的用法
1.延续性动词的用法
延续性动词可以用在现在完成时的句子中，与how long ，for+一段时间，since…等表示时间段的状语连用。
I have studied English for 10 years.
2.非延续性动词的用法
非延续性动词不可以和表示时间段的状语连用，只能与短暂性时间状语连用。
He joined the army two years ago.
我学习英语十年了。
两年前他参军了。
三，非延续性动词和延续性动词之间的转换
在现在完成时的句子中，如果时间状语为时间段，则需要把短暂性动词转化成延续性动词。
1，非延续性动词转换为延续性动词。
