第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分40分)
第一节(共15小题;每小题2分,满分30分)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的四个选项(A、B、C和D)中,选出最佳选项。
A
Running
seems
easy
enough:
Just
grab
a
pair
of
sneakers
and
put
one
foot
in
front
of
the
other,
right?
Well,
anyone
who
struggled
to
get
through
a
mile
knows
it’s
not
quite
that
simple.
We’ve
asked
experienced
runners
to
tell
us
something
wrong
they
did
when
they
started
running.
The
following
are
some
of
their
answers.
I
got
excited
and
signed
up
for
a
half-marathon
with
a
few
more
experienced
runner
friends,
but
I
wasn’t
adequately
prepared
and
didn’t
train
efficiently.
I
ended
up
with
blisters(水泡)
on
my
feet.
I
couldn’t
wear
shoes
for
two
days!
—Cali
Lavey
I
have
always
been
athletic
and
I
have
never
been
badly
injured,
but
one
day
I
felt
a
slight
pain
in
my
knee.
I
ignored
it
for
a
month
until
I
realized
I
was
having
a
hard
time
putting
weight
on
my
right
leg.
I
finally
went
to
a
doctor.
It
took
four
months
of
weekly
physical
therapy(治疗)
to
heal.
I
shouldn’t
have
done
that.
---Arnold
My
biggest
mistake
was
treating
running
like
soccer
practice:
If
I
wasn’t
exhausted
by
the
end
of
practice,
I
felt
as
though
I
didn’t
work
hard
enough.
I
run
all
of
my
runs
at
80
percent
effort,
or
the
equivalent
of
what
I
now
call
tempo
runs
(节奏跑).
I
wasn’t
warming
up
to
the
pace
or
cooling
down
effectively.
----
Kate
I
decided
to
go
out
for
a
run
during
the
hottest
part
of
the
day.
At
the
time,
I
told
myself
that
it
would
be
refreshing
to
sweat
a
little,
but
I
didn’t
bring
adequate
water.
I
returned
feeling
completely
rundown,
dehydrated
(脱水的),
and
exhausted.
If
you
must
go
out
on
a
run
during
unfavorable
weather,
wear
proper
suits
and
bring
enough
water
to
keep
you
feeling
strong.

16.Why
did
Cali
suffer
from
her
half-marathon?
A.She
ran
all
the
way
barefoot.
B.She
didn’t
get
ready
for
it.
C.She
ran
with
experienced
runners.
D.She
did
not
have
self-confidence.
17.What
did
Arnold
regret
doing?
A.Thinking
he
would
never
get
injured
B.Putting
heavy
weight
on
his
right
leg.
C.Spending
about
four
month
s
treating
his
knee.
D.Waiting
for
so
long
to
get
his
knee
examined.
18.The
examples
of
the
four
runners
mainly
show
that
________.
A.we
should
warm
up
before
running
B.we
should
bring
enough
water
when
running
C.we
shouldn’t
think
running
is
very
easy
D.we
shouldn’t
ignore
any
pain
when
running
B
On
any
given
day,
you
can
find
most
10-year-old
boys
throwing
a
ball
around
outside,
riding
their
bikes,
or
playing
video
games.
But
Braden
Baker
is
different.
Braden
is
a
hearing
impaired(受损的)5th-grader
and
has
to
wear
hearing
aids(助听器).
Unluckily,
Braden's'
dog
Chewy
found
his
hearing
aids
on
the
floor
and
destroyed
them--not
once
but
twice
--and
they
had
to
replaced.
But
at
$3,
500
to
$6,
000
a
pair,
Braden's
carelessness
was
costly.
Braden's
mother
Ashley
sat
Braden
down
and
had
a
long
talk
about
taking
better
care
of
his
hearing
aids,
explaining
just
how
much
they
cost.
"I
told
him
that
he
was
lucky
we
could
buy
another
pair
and
that
some
people
couldn't
afford
a
new
pair,
"Ashley
said.
Those
words
clearly
stuck
in
Braden's
mind,
who
realized
that
not
every
child
who
needed
hearing
aids
could
afford
them.
So
recently,
the
10-year-old
took
it
upon
himself
to
start
a
GoFundMe
page
to
raise
money
for
those
who
aren't
so
lucky.
Braden
made
a
video
to
explain
why
he
wanted
to
raise
money.
Ashley
said,
"We
weren't
really
sure
how
it
would
turn
out.
He
began
with
goal
of
$1,000.
We
woke
up
the
next
morning
and
found
that
it
had
raised
$400."
This
encouraged
him
to
start
making
even
more
videos.
Fast-forward
a
few
months
and
Braden's
GoFundMe
page
has
raised
over
$15,
000,
which
Braden
donated
to
the
Oticon
Hearing
Foundation.
And
that
money
will
be
used
to
help
other
families
buy
hearing
aids
for
their
children.
The
project
has
not
only
taught
Braden
the
value
of
money,
but
according
to
his
mom,
"he's
learned
that
if
you
put
a
small
idea
into
action,
amazing
things
can
happen."
As
for
Braden's
advice
to
those
looking
for
ways
to
give
back
to
others?"
Don't
give
up!
Any
small
idea
can
get
really
big.
19.
Why
did
Braden
change
his
hearing
aids?
A.
He
wanted
a
better
pair
of
hearing
aids.
B.
The
old
pairs
were
destroyed
by
his
dog.
C.
His
hearing
problem
became
more
serious.
D.
He
lost
the
old
pairs
because
of
his
carelessness.
20.
What
has
led
to
Braden
starting
GoFundMe
page?
A.
His
mother’s
words
about
the
usefulness
of
hearing
aids
B.
his
mother’s
encouragement
for
him
to
do
good
things
C.
His
need
to
buy
a
new
pair
of
hearing
aids
D.
His
wish
to
help
poor
children
with
hearing
problems
21
How
did
Braden
and
his
mother
feel
when
the
page
was
started?
Uncertain
B.
satisfied
C.
Hopeful
D.
Unexpected
What
has
Braden
learned
from
working
on
the
project?
A.
One
should
always
use
money
smartly
B
A
small
idea
can
make
a
big
difference
C
Videoing
is
a
good
way
to
reach
people
D
It’s
important
to
dream
big
and
hold
on
to
it
.
C
I
left
a
job
in
higher
education
in
1987
to
begin
work
full
time
as
a
futurist.
Actually,
there
are
three
ways
to
this
career.
First
is
the
informal
or
self-taught
path
(途径)
taken
by
many
people.
People
in
different
fields
often
discover
their
personal
interest
in
the
future.
And
then
they
begin
to
read
things
about
futures
studies,
forecasting,
science
and
technology,
and
so
on.
They
begin
to
attend
meetings
as
they
can
find
them,
Gradually
they
begin
to
call
themselves
futurists.
Of
the
40,000
members
of
the
World
Future
Society
(WFS),
most
have
taken
that
path.
But
only
about
1,200
are“professional
(职业的)
members"
who
try
to
make
a
living
as
futurists.
If
this
path
sounds
right
for
you,
it
can
be
successfully
followed.
The
best
place
to
start
is
with
a
membership
in
the
WFS.
A
second
path
is
through
the
more
traditional
colleges.
There
are
college
programs
in
futures
studies.
Among
those
we
suggest
is
the
master's
degree
program
in
futures
studies
at
the
University
of
Houston,
Clear
Lake,
Texas.
Another
program
in
futures
studies
is
the
Hawaii
Research
Center
for
Futures
Studies,
at
the
University
of
Hawaii.
Finally.
a
third
path
is
the
one
that
I
took,
or
rather
was
given.
That
is
the
mentor
(导师)
path.
An
early
futurist
and
founding
member
of
the
WFS
took
me
under
his
wing
while
I
was
an
undergraduate
student.
He
began
to
feed
me
things
to
read
and
to
attend,
nurturing
(培养)
my
own
interest
in
the
future
through
what
became
more
than
a
ten-year-long
relationship.
His
name
was
Ed
Lindaman,
at
one
time
director
of
program
planning
for
building
Apollo,
later
a
college
president
when
I
knew
him.
If
you
are
lucky
enough
to
find
that
kind
of
relationship,
it
can
have
some
of
the
features
of
the
first
two
paths,
though
without
the
formal
degree.
23.
What
do
we
know
about
the
author?
A.
He
founded
the
WFS.
B.
He
got
his
first
job
as
a
futurist.
C
He
makes
a
living
as
a
futurist
now.
D.
Being
a
futurist
was
his
childhood
dream.
24.
What
does
the
underlined
part
“that
path"
in
Paragraph
2
refer
to?
A.
Self-study.
B.
Full-time
education.
C.
Being
a
WFS
member,
D.
Being
guided
by
professionals.
25.
What
kind
of
feeling
did
the
author
have
when
he
mentioned
Ed
Lindaman?
A.
Regret.
B.
Worry.
C.
Excitement.
D.
Thankfulness.
26.
What
advice
does
the
author
mainly
give
to
readers?
A.
How
to
join
the
WFS.
B.
How
to
take
a
degree
in
the
future
C.
How
to
choose
your
career.
D.
How
to
become
a
futurist
D
To
many,
driving
a
digger
truck
might
not
sound
like
the
most
relaxing
way
to
spend
your
downtime.
But
for
Jude
Palmer,
helping
to
restore,
or
repair,
some
of
Britain’s
most
historic
waterways
is
like
a
week
on
a
Mediterranean
beach.
“Being
outdoors
in
a
beautiful
setting
doing
hands-on
work
is
just
fun,”
says
Jude,
44,
from
Warwick,
England.
As
a
project
manager
for
a
large
computer
company,
she
gives
up
much
of
her
free
time
to
work
on
canals
(运河)
all
over
the
country.
“Over
the
years
I’ve
even
taken
canal
boats
through
lock
gates
that
I’ve
helped
build,
which
is
a
really
amazing
thing,”
Over
the
past
27
years,
she
has
helped
on
many
of
the
biggest
canal
restoration
projects
in
the
country.
The
success
of
learning
a
skill
and
then
using
it
to
carry
out
a
much
needed
job
gives
Jude
huge
satisfaction.
But
it
is
the
people
she
meets
that
draw
her
back
to
do
more.
“You
work
together
with
others
and
the
trust
between
everyone
is
amazing.
I
have
made
so
many
friends
while
restoring
our
canals,”
she
says.
Jude
is
one
of
hundreds
of
volunteers
(志愿者)
who
give
up
some
of
their
holidays
to
work
on
the
canals.
They
enjoy
the
company
too,
and
many
say
that
it
is
an
extra
(额外的事物)
that
they’re
repairing
a
canal.
“Everyone
seems
to
take
away
much
more
than
the
aching
muscles
(肌肉),”
says
Jenny
Black,
volunteer
coordinator
for
the
Waterway
Recovery
Group
(WRG),
which
oversees
the
restoration
projects.
The
group
was
set
up
almost
50
years
ago
to
help
bring
back
the
6,500
miles
of
waterways
in
England
and
Wales.
Each
year,
especially
in
the
summer,
it
runs
canal
camps
where
volunteers
above
17
years
of
age
and
from
all
backgrounds
are
welcomed
along
to
lend
a
hand.
Jenny
says
an
increasing
number
of
British
people
want
to
attend
these
camps
and
the
WRG
has
introduced
even
more
this
year,
with
more
than
30
planned
from
June
until
mid-September.
Others
happen
throughout
the
year.
A
week
on
the
camp
costs
?63.
In
return,
the
WRG
teaches
volunteers
different
skills
including
operating
a
digger
truck.
27.
What
do
the
first
two
paragraphs
tell
us
about
Jude?'
A.
She
likes
trying
new
things.
B.
She
enjoys
repairing
the
canals.
C.
She
is
a
new
volunteer
member.
D.
She
comes
from
the
Mediterranean.
28.
What
does
Jenny
mean
by
saying
the
underlined
sentence
in
Paragraph
4?
A.
The
restoration
projects
are
in
need
of
more
volunteers.
B.
Learning
a
skill
gives
the
volunteers
huge
satisfaction.
C.
Friendship
gives
the
volunteers
much
happiness.
D.
Working
on
the
canals
proves
to
be
a
hard
job.
29.
What
do
we
know
about
the
canal
camps?
A.
They
are
organised
by
Jude’s
company.
B.
They
are
getting
more
popular
now.
C.
They
are
open
to
teenagers.
D.
They
are
summer
camps.
30.
What
can
be
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.
Why
not
spend
a
holiday
restoring
a
canal?
B.
How
to
drive
a
digger
truck
along
a
canal?
C.
Why
are
Britain’s
canals
so
important?
D.
How
are
the
historic
canals
repaired?
第二节
(共5小题;每小题2分,共10分)
根据短文内容,
从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
If
you’re
lucky
enough
to
have
plenty
of
farm-fresh
apples,
you
may
run
into
the
problem
of
having
too
little
time
to
eat
them
up.
Fortunately,
there
are
various
methods
for
storing
fresh
apples
and
they
don’t
necessarily
require
any
special
equipment._____31______.
Instructions
Sort
through
the
apples
you
wish
to
store.
Pick
out
apples
that
have
cuts
or
holes.
______32_______.
You
can
use
them
to
make
apple
products
that
you
can
then
store,
such
as
apple
juice
or
apple
sauce.
Put
the
apples
into
plastic
bags.
These
bags
will
help
keep
the
correct
humidity(湿度)
level,
which
should
stay
between
90
and
95
percent.
_________33________.
That’s
because
it
will
cause
carbon
dioxide
to
build
up
in
the
bag,
which
makes
the
apples
spoil.
_________34_________.
For
the
longest
storage,
you
should
keep
the
apples
at
-1--0℃.
Apples
do
not
freeze
until
the
temperature
drops
below
-1.5℃,
so
keeping
a
temperature
slightly
above
that
is
important.
Check
the
temperature
and
humidity
levels
of
