Hello everyone ! I’m an English teacher from Huzhu Road Branch Primary School Zhongyuan District. Today I’ll say Sample B of Unit 2 My favourite season , PEP Primary English ,book 6. I’ll prepare to say the lesson from five parts.
一.说教材Analysis of teaching material
(一)教材的地位及作用Status and function
Today I’ll say Sample B of Unit 2 My favourite season , PEP Primary English ,book6. I’ll prepare to say the lesson from five parts.
This lesson includes two parts: Let’s talk, Let’s try.In section 1,it mainly deals with the dialogue about “What’s your favourite season Why do you like …?Because I can…” In section 2, it provides four pictures for the Ss to practise the pattern .
(二)教学目标Teaching aims and demands
1. Aims on the knowledge
(1) To enable the Ss to understand and speak: “What’s your favourite season Why do you like … because I can…” Make sure that Ss can use these sentences in real situations.
(2) To help Ss to finish the survey.
(3) Let Ss finish the assessment of “Let’s try” in this unit.
2. Aims on the abilities
(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.
(2) To train the Ss’ ability of working in groups.
(3) To foster Ss’ abilities of communication and their innovation.
3. Aims on the emotion
(1) To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.
(2) To lead Ss to show their loveliness to the beautiful world.
(三)教学重点 Key-points of this lesson
(1) To help Ss ask and answer the question: Why do you like … Because I can…
(2) To enable Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfully.
(3) To develop Ss’ interest in English.
教学难点Difficult points
(1) To help the Ss ask and answer the question “Why do you like … because I can…” and make sure they can use the sentence structures correctly.
(2) To finish the survey by themselves.

二Teaching methods
In the teaching process, I will apply blackboard ,pictures, tape recorder and multi-media computer to arouse the Ss’ interests in learning . I adopt Task-based Language Teaching;Communicative methods;Aural-oral methods with the help of the computer.
针对教材的特点和学生的特点,我在设计课时本着“激趣、创新、应用、拓展”的原则做了如下尝试:其一,根据《基础教育课程改革纲要》和《英语课程标准》灵活处理教材。其二,充分利用多媒体和网络优势,优化课堂教学。其三,补充教学卡片、图片、板书、歌曲等。采用图文结合法、情景教学法、小组合作学习法、通过采用任务型的教学途径,力求通过多样化的操练和游戏活动,创设空间,让学生通过观察,思考联想表达等实践活动激发兴趣和自主学习能力。
三Studying Methods:
Let Ss study in a relaxed and agreeable atmosphere. Ss understand the new knowledge in certain degree through the mental process of seeing, hearing, saying, observing, imagining , thinking etc. After feeling and comprehending the language points, let Ss obtain the knowledge actively by probe study and cooperative study. Thereby, develop the Ss’ abilities of studying and working with the learning language independently.
四教学程序Teaching procedures
Step 1. Warm-up
1. Teacher sings a song to start this lesson and sing with the Ss together.
2. After enjoying the song:
T: What seasons can you hear in this song
Then review the words of seasons and divide the Ss into 4 groups.
Let’s chant.
T: Different color stand for different seasons, for example “Spring is green with flowers and song … ” Let’s chant together.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Present the pattern: “Why do you like … because I can…”
(1) After the chant, teacher makes free talk with Ss:
T: Do you like winter
S1: Yes, I do.
T: I like winter, too. Because I can skate. Why do you like winter
S1: I can make a snowman.
T: Yes, because you can make a snowman.
Use the same way to talk with other Ss.
(2) With the help of the CAI to present the sentence structures, and write them on the board, help the Ss understand the meaning with the help of my body language. Then lead the Ss to read the sentence. Make sure they can say it correctly.
2. Practice
(1)Take out the bag of phrase cards, ask one student like this
T: What is your favourite season
S1: Summer is my favourite season..
T: (Let him take out a phrase and he must use it to say the reason, for example he takes out “make a snowman ”. he says because I can make a snowman.
Then ask other students.
(2) Use the cards on their desks to ask and answer quickly.
3. presentation the dialogue of “Let’s talk”
(1) With the help of the CAI to present the dialogue. Set a situation to help Ss understand:
T: Our friends ChenJie and Sarah are talking about their favourite season watch the cartoon and fill in the blanks.
(2) Ask and answer questions about the dialogue, the fill in the blanks.
(3) Open the books and read the dialogue.
(4) Act it out in groups.
4. Let’s try.
T: Let’s find out the reasons of why ZhangPeng and Sarah like those seasons
With the help of the CAI to present the dialogue.
Step 3. Extent
After practice the dialogue, let Ss use the sentence structure to make a survey about this:
food yummy, tasty, delicious, salty
fruit sweet, sour, fresh, healthy
animal cute, lovely, friend
book interesting, useful, wonderful

Step 4. Sum-up
At last of this class, teacher uses the assessment to make a sum-up of this lesson.
Three groups ask one group like this:
Group summer\fall\winter: What’s your favourite season
Group spring: Spring!
Group summer\fall\winter: Why do you like spring
Group spring: Because I can fly kites.
Step 5. Add-activity
Listen and read after the recorder.
Using the materials of your survey to make a dialogue.
