The Million Pound Bank Note is one novel from Mark Twain, who was brought up in America. The story happened in 1903, and a young poor man called Henry landed in London by accident. He was penniless so that he must earn his passage by working on the ship. Then he went to the American embassy to seek help, but failed. At the same time, two rich brothers, Roderick and Oliver, made a bet. Roderick believes that a man cannot survive in London for a month with only a million pound bank note but Oliver believes he can. One day Henry was spotted by the two brothers when he was wandering in the street. After a short talk, he was offered a million pound bank note and permitted to do what he liked.
