I. 教材的地位和作用
本课是冀教版九年级上册Unit 5中的Lessons35,这是一篇阅读课,其话题是China’s Most Famous “Farmer”。这篇课文以人物传记的形式向学生介绍了中国杂交水稻之父袁隆平院士的早期经历、工作情况以及兴趣爱好。本文与本单元的其他课文共同表达了一个主题,即为社会进步,科学发展,人类幸福作出贡献的人才是伟大的人,他们的人生才是最有意义的人生。本文通过听、说、读、写四个方面来培养学生英语学习的技能,提高阅读理解能力和语言综合运用的实践能力。通过对伟大人物的学习,帮助学生树立正确的人生观,价值观。

IV. 教法和学法
教法:本课是一篇阅读课,根据英语课程标准的要求,
阅读课侧重发展学生的英语语用能力,用英语进行交流的能力,
用英语获取信息和处理信息的能力,用英语进行思维的能力,
体现英语教学的交际性、实践性和体验性。本课堂以多媒体
的方式把文章通过视觉、听觉等形式完整地展示给学生,
以话题—结构—功能的教学方法,结合“任务型”教学模式,
依据教学目标来组织课堂教学。
学法: 阅读和写作在中考中占有相当大的比重,因此对于九年
级的学生来说,培养阅读和写作能力就显得非常重要。本课
是阅读课,因此在教学过程中我重视学法指导,教给学生略读、
查读、速读等阅读技巧。并引导学生进行比较归纳、分析概括、
联想记忆、发现学习等策略,从而提高学生的整体认知水平。

大限度的参与课堂。

Step 2:Presentation
目的:用简单明了的图片展示袁隆平与农业,
学生用已有知识能迅速的用汉语说出袁隆平是
杂交水稻之父,从而拉近了这位伟大科
学家与学生间的距离。为进一步的英语学习
打下基础。

目的:利用多媒体创设真实的环境,
让学生观看视频,通过直观的画面看
到袁隆平,让他们谈谈袁隆平是一位怎样
的人?
