Module 4 New technology
一、学习目标:
1.知识与技能:掌握本模块中关于科技产品的词汇;能够掌握带有if 的条件状语从句(1)的用法;能通过预测和记笔记等方法听懂科技产品操作的指令语;能简单讲解怎样使用简单设备;能理解文章并抓住文章的细节信息;根据图片预测下文;能够写使用科技产品,如手机的小故事。
2.情感态度:鼓励学生大胆尝试使用新产品,增加对这些技术设备的了解,培养学生对科学技术的热爱和探索精神。
3.学习策略:撰写简洁的操作指令语;虚心向同学学习,分工合作完成任务。
二、重点及难点: if 的条件状语从句的用法
If表示“如果”、“假如”引导条件状语从句。如果从句谈论的是一个有可能发生的事实及其产生的相关的结果,主句用一般将来时态,从句用一般现在时态。如:
We can walk there if we can't find a bus .
If it rains tomorrow ,we will not go to the zoo.
What will you do if you find a panda in danger.

四)知识点学习
1. lend 借出,即借给别人东西。其常用句型是lend sb sth., 或lend sth to sb. 借给某人某物 (借出)e.g. Could you lend us your dictionary 能把你的字典借给我们吗?
其反义词“借入”是borrow, borrow sth. from sb = borrow sb sth 从某处借某物 (借入)
e.g. The students want to borrow some books from the library.学生们想从图书馆借几本书。
2. How does it work 它如何工作?how…. 怎样;怎么;如何
How is this word pronounced 这个词怎么发音?
How does this thing work 这东西是怎么运行的?
How did you do that 你是怎么做到的?
3. If you want to turn on the recorder, press the blue button.
如果你要打开录音机,按蓝色的按钮。
If 意为“如果……”,在句中引导条件状语从句。
e.g. If it doesn’t rain tomorrow , I will come to see you . 如果明天不下雨,我就来看你。
turn on “开(灯,电视,电脑等)” 名词放后面,代词放中间。
e.g. ―Have you turned on the computer ―No, I haven’t turned it on.
4. If the red doesn’t come on, wait for thirty seconds. 如果红灯不亮的话,等30秒钟。
come on “(灯或机器等开始)启动,开动”
5. …connect the recorder to your computer.
connect … to / with 连接,把...联系起来 ;联想,联系
e.g. connect Dalian with the sea 提到大连就想到海
Their families are now connected by marriage. 他们两家现已联姻。
I was again connected to the wrong person. 又给我接错了电话。

1. It may save your life. save one’s life 挽救某人的生命
He hurt badly , and the doctors couldn’t save his life .他伤得太重了,医生不能挽救他的生命。
save 1) 抢救,挽救,拯救e.g. I saved the animals from the flood. 我把动物从洪水中救出来。
2) 节省;省下e.g. We should save oil, or else there won't be any left in the world.
我们应该节约用油,否则世界上就不会有油留下了。
2. He picked up a dish from the table , and suddenly a snake appeared … and bit him on the hand .
他从桌子端起一个盘子,突然,一条蛇出现了…并咬伤了他的手。
pick up 捡起,拾起宾语为代词it或them时,必须放在中间。
“Whose book is it ” he said , and then he picked it up .
bite him on the hand “咬伤了他的手” 动词+宾语+介词in / on +身体某一部位。
He was angry and bit me on my head .他很生气,并打了我头。
The ball hit him in the face.2球打在他的脸上。
3.It climbed out of the box and hid under the dish. 它(蛇)从箱子里爬出来,藏在盘子下。
Out of 意思为“在…外”,如:
Listen to me carefully, Don’t look out of the window.
认真听我说,别往窗外看。
The man is too fat and he can’t get out of the car.
这个人太胖了,他不能从车里出来。
4. Anyway, Mrs Jackson stayed cool and he took a photo of the snake with his mobile phone.
无论如何,杰克逊先生保持冷静,他用他的手机照了一张蛇的相片。
stay 在句中作连系动词,表示“保持”,相当于keep ,后接形容词。
“stayed cool” “保持冷静,保持凉爽”。如:
Don’t become angry . Stay cool .
I don’t know how to stay cool in hot summer .
5. Then his chest began to hurt .然后他的胸部开始发痛。
hurt “伤害,受伤”,可作及物动词或不及物动词。如:
My head hurt badly and I didn’t sleep all night .
I fell of my bike , but I didn’t hurt myself .
6. When they knew the kind of snake , they could give Mr Jackson the right medicine , and he left hospital the next day . 当他们知道蛇的类型的时候,他们可以给杰克森先生合适的药,第二天他就出院了。kind “种;类;好心的;善良的” a kind of 一种 all kinds of 各种各样的
medicine “药”,为不可数名词,没有复数。
