Students’
writing
My
best
friend
Tom
and
I
went
on
a
diving
adventure
around
the
Farne
Islands
last
week.
That
was
a
very
fantastic
experience
and
I
will
always
remember
it.
First
we
set
off
by
boat
and
meanwhile
enjoyed
the
beautiful
view
at
sea.
We
were
so
excited.
Soon
we
arrived
at
the
spot.
Put
on
the
diving
suit,
we
jumped
into
the
water.
We
followed
the
coach
down
to
30
metres
under
the
sea.
There
I
saw
an
amazing
sight.
Groups
of
colorful
fish
swam
around
us.
It
was
much
more
beautiful
than
Internet
or
in
magazines
I
saw.
Suddenly,
a
cute
seal
appeared
in
front
of
us.
It
kept
flapping
its
flippers
as
if
to
lead
us
to
a
different
place.
Later,
more
and
more
seals
appeared
and
gathered
around
us,
as
if
they
were
welcoming
the
guests.
We
touched
them
and
swam
with
them.
It
was
great
fun.
After
that,
we
swam
to
the
huge
shipwreck,
which
weighed
nearly
7,000
tons
and
sank
in
1941
during
the

The

left
me
too
much
surprise
and
aftertaste.
I
met
lovely
underwater
creatures
and
felt
the
charm
of
the
ocean.
It
felt

a

world.

it

I

I

I
could
start
an
adventure

the
sea
before,
till
my
parents
took
me
to
the
Farne

last

and
tried

there.
We
were
offered
two

either
wreck
diving—to
see
the
wrecked
ship
Somali,
or
scenic
diving—to
have
a
good
time
with
the
grey

I

it
was

Diving
turned
out
to
be

I
had

I
just
put
on
the
instruments
and
followed
my
instructor.
I
was
a
bit
scared,
but
my
instructor
told
me
to
take
it
easy.
At
first,
I
could
only
see
nothing,
but
when
my
eyes
gradually
adjusted
to
the
darkness,
I
could
see
deep
blue
waves
moving
up
and
down,
and
small
fishes
swimming.
Soon
we
reached
the
spot,
and
I
could
breathe
normally.
lt
was
such
a
wonderful
world.
Before
realizing
it,
I
had
been
in
the
seaweed
forest
surrounded
by
the
young
seals.
They
were
eager
to
get
close
to
me
and
dance
around
me.
I
reached
out
my
hand
to
touch
one
of
them.
All
of
a
sudden,
something
big
appeared
on
my
right.
I
turned
around
and
almost
got
astonished.
It
was
a
huge
male
seal.
I
was
so
scared,
fearing
it
would
attack
me.
But
it
just
touched
me
lightly
with
its
body,
as
if
it
wanted
to
hug
me.
I
put
my
hands
on
its
back,
trying
to
feel
its
smooth
skin.
The
world
here
was
so
quiet
that
it
felt
that
time
had
stopped.
Finally,
my
instructor
gestured
for
me
to
go
up.
When
I
reached
the
surface,
I
had
to
readjust
to
the
sunlight.
What
had
