While my wife was reading the newspaper, I was watching TV.
(was reading是延续性的动词,was reading和was watching同时发生)

Where there is a will, there is a way.

引导词:where wherever
no matter when 无论哪里

As soon as I reach Canada, I will ring you up.
If it doesn’t rain tomorrow,
we will go hiking.
可以由because, as, since, for引导。
I do it because I like it.
Since he is busy, I won’t trouble him.
because, as ,since ,for 的区别
一般用because
You want to know why I am leaving
I am leaving because I am fed up.
I do it because I like it.
Since he is only a little boy, I think we can forgive him.
They decided to stop and have lunch, for they were feeling quite hungry.
结果状语从句表示结果,关联词有so…that…, so that, such… that等.
So…that …
So that 有时也有结果是,以至于的含义,这是so that就能与so…that通用,但是so that 引导结果状语从句是,不能和might连用。
Such…that…与so…that….
词序为so+形容词+ a (an)+名词。
The article is so difficult that I can’t understand it.
It was such a lovely weather that we spend the whole day in the garden.
让步状语从句表示虽然,尽管,即使等概念,常用的关联词有though, although, if, even if, while, whereas等
Though I was tired, I still worked hard.
Even though I didn’t know him, I kept smiling.
Yong though he is, he is quite experienced.
It looks as though it is going to rain.
关联词有as, as if, as though
We should do it as the teacher told us.
