教材分析
北师大版《初中英语》八年级上册教材第3单元话题是体育锻炼、奥运会、探险。第9课Never Give Up是一篇有关探险的文章。本次说课内容为第一课时,是一节阅读课。文章谈到主人公Janek Mela战胜身体缺陷,挑战自我,前往南极和北极探险的故事。通过阅读,利用回答问题、匹配标题,时间轴等方式,帮助学生获取极地探险的信息。同时本课在阅读了解Janek Mela的故事后,为最终进行本单元的综合语言输出——多音节形容词最高级奠定语言基础。
现在有相当一部分的孩子面对困难时,是完全依赖老师或家长,没有帮助时会束手无策。他们的应变能力、抗挫折能力弱化,缺乏坚强的意志力和进取精神。通过阅读引导孩子对Janek所表现的面对困难永不放弃的情感态度进行体会,学习他身残志坚,挑战极限的顽强精神。
在阅读训练中,学生基本上掌握了寻找具体细节的技巧。但对信息推断,阅读概括的能力还有待提高。
