一. Analysis of Teaching content
The teaching content is Module10 Unit1 of Grade 3, New Standard English. The title is This is his head. It focuses on the topic of body parts.
二. Analysis of students.
The students are from grade 3. They are very interested in new things and they are very active in class. But they have a short time of attention. So I will use many kinds of teaching methods to activate their interests, such as songs, games, videos, role-play, etc.
三. Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aims
(1) By the end of the class, the students will be able to read, recognize, and use these words: his, head, arm, hand, leg, foot.
(2)The students will be able to use the sentences “This is his …” to talk about body parts.
(3) The students will be able to use “Point to…” to make orders.
2. Ability aims
(1) By the end of the class, the students will be able to talk about body parts with others, using the sentences “This is his …” .
(2) To develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking and communication.

(1) To foster students’ awareness of cooperation and proper competition.

1. Greetings.
2. Sing a song “If you are happy” and do the actions.
StepⅡLead-in and presentation
1. After the song, introduce the new word “hand” with a picture. And get Ss to learn the sentence “This is my hand.”
Then do the actions “hand, hand, clap your hands”. Get Ss to practice the word in many ways.
2.Then introduce the word “head”, pay attention to the pronunciation of “ea”.
Do the actions “head, head, nod your head” to practice the word.
3. Then introduce the word “foot”, pay attention to the pronunciation of “oo”.
Do the actions “foot, foot, stamp your foot” to practice the word.
4. Point game. Get Ss to point to their head, hand and foot.
4. T: These are our body parts, do you want to know more Let’s learn them with our friend Daming.
StepⅢ Text-learning
1.Get Ss to watch the text video and try to answer the question: Daming is pointing to a _____.
2. Then look at pictures of the text and get Ss to fill in the blanks “ This is his ____(head/hand/foot) ”. Teach the new word “his” .
3.Get a boy to role-play as “ Panpan ” and lead Ss to introduce his body parts.
4. Let Ss read the text after e-pen by themselves and try to figure out the answers “This is his ____(arm/ leg)”. Introduce the new word “arm” and “leg”.

2. Guess game. PPT shows some pictures but Ss can’t see the head. Lead them to guess who he is.
