知识拓展:
1. 辨析hear , listen , sound 三个动词都有“ 听 ”之意,其区别是:
hear vt ,听说,听见,侧重于“ 听 ”的结果。例如:
(1) I’m sorry to hear that you are ill .听说你生病了, 我很难过。
(2) I never heard such an interesting story .我从来没听过这么一个有趣的故事。
listen vi. 听,侧重于“ 听 ”的动作。例如:
(1). Listen to me carefully .认真听我说。
(2)The children like to listen to music . 孩子们喜欢听音乐。
Sound 听起来, 它是系动词,后面接形容词。例如:
(1)That sounds great .那听起来真不错。
(2)It sounds like fun .听起来挺有趣。
2.情态动词 have to 意为“不得不,必须”,后接动词原形。
例如:I have to do my homework now . 我必须现在做作业。
have to 有人称 , 数和时态的变化。在一般现在时中,如果主语是第三人称单数,用has to 在一般过去时中用.had to . 例如:
(1)She has to stay at home .她不得不呆在家里。
(2)I had to look after my sister . 我不得不照看我妹妹。
have to 在一般现在时或一般过去时中的否定形式及构成,疑问句时要借助于助动词do或其适当形式
(1)I don’t have to do my homework now .我不必现在做作业。
(2)Do you have to do your homework now
have to 强调客观上“不得不”做 事;
must 指主观上“必须”做 事。We must study hard .我们必须努力学习。
3. I can’t meet my friends after school.
①meet v. 遇到,遇见;会见,会面,集合,迎接。例如:
Let’s meet at the school gate at seven tomorrow
咱们明天早上7点在学校门口集合。
I’m going to meet my father at the station this afternoon.
今天下午我要去车站接我父亲
② after school 放学后。 固定搭配,中间不用冠词 the 。
类似的短语有:
after lunch 午饭后 after school 下课后 after that之后(打那以后)。 如:
Please come to my office after school.下课后请到我的办公室来。
4.I can’t watch Tv on school nights.上学期间晚上我不能看电视。
On school nights 在上学日晚上。night前若有其它词修饰,指具体的某个晚上,前面应用介词 on。若泛指在晚上 ,则用介词at。

5. I have too many rules in my house.我家里规矩太多。
too many 太多,用来修饰可数名词的复数形式。如:
He can’t stand too many rules.他忍受不了太多规矩。
辨析 too many, too much ,much too的 区别
(1) too many的中心词是 many ,用法与many相同,用来修饰可数名词的复数形式。如:
They’ve got too many questions to ask you.
(2) too much的中心词是 much ,用法与much相同,用来修饰不可数名词。如:
She spent too much money on clothes.
too much 还可以作名词性短语,用作宾语;也可作副词性短语,在句中用作状语,修饰动词。如:
You’ve given me too much.你给我的太多了。
Don’t eat too much.不要吃得太多。
(3) much too的中心词是 too,用法与too相同,用来修饰原级形容词或副词。
You’re walking much too fast. Slow down.你走的太快了,慢点。
6. the Children’s Palace 少年宫
Children’s 为复数名词的所有格。类似的还有:
Children’s Day 儿童节 Women’s Day 妇女节
Teachers’Day教师节 Policemen’s day警察节
7. No talking !不要讲话!禁止交谈! = Don’t talk! No后面加上名词或动名词(doing) 也表示不要做某事,与don’t + do的用法相似。如:
No wet umbrellas! = Don’t put wet umbrellas here!禁止放湿雨伞!
No food ! =Don’t eat food here! 禁止吃食物!
类似的还有:
No smoking ! 禁止吸烟! No spitting. 请勿随地吐痰! No littering.不要乱扔果皮! No photos.请勿拍照! No parking. 禁止停车! No garbage here. 禁止倒垃圾!
