一、教材分析：
本单元是PEP小学英语五年级下册Unit
3
My
school
calendar。本单元重点学习月份（January--December）及有关月份中的一些节日、活动的单词及短语。
在本单元之前，学生已经初步接触过个别月份的表达。本单元要求学生能够听、说、读、写一年的12个月份的名称，掌握12个月份的缩写形式，初步了解日期的表达方式。本单元通过“校历”
的形式来展示各个月份的活动与节日安排，让学生一目了然。在学习月份的过程中，学生还会学习到中西方国家的重大节日以及在这些节日中所开展的各项活动等等。教学时可以让学生通过完成各种任务型活动，让学生们在理解的基础上，尝试着归纳，总结规律，与同伴进行交流与表达。
二、学情分析：

本单元的教学对象是小学五年级学生。五年级是小学英语学习的高级阶段，他们已经有了一定的语言基础同时喜欢丰富多彩又具有挑战性的活动。他们已经积累了一定的词汇和句型，有较好的语音、语调和语言基础，并且基本养成了英语学习习惯。本单元“校历”是学生十分感兴趣的话题，并且与学生的生活息息相关。特别是西方国家的各种节日也是孩子非常感兴趣的话题，学生也乐于参与其中。

九、教学反思：
本节课是会话课，主要让学生掌握主要句子：We
have
a
few
fun
things
in
spring.
When
is
____?
It’s
in
____.并了解课文内容，能在语境中理解April,
May,
sports
meet,
Easter
party,
trip,
a
few的意思。因此本节课的设计会以学生说为主，培养学生用英语进行表达的能力。
本节课，从趣味练习开始，让学生快速说月份单词，一方面调动学生学习的积极性，一方面也让学生降低对单词的恐惧，因为月份单词和节日的表达对学生来说信息量比较大，部分学生还是心存恐惧，怕自己说得不够好，不够准确的。同时，我注意进行师生互动，引导开展对话练习，从而切入本课学习。本课对话对于学生来说相对是简单的，因此，我设计了观看课文对话，完成练习的任务给学生。让学生通过观察情景图思考Mike和Zhang
Peng
谈论的哪2个月份，让学生在思考中辨认April,
May，同时，培养学生的阅读能力。
只是，本课中，在拓展学生关于节日的活动操练上相对比较缺乏，只设置了课文挖空练习。我应该设置更多的节日话题让学生开拓思维去编对话，增加学生们说的机会，这样对于会话课来说，就更能体现在“说”的能力培养上了。
