一、学习目标
1.学习运用情态动词must, might, could, can’t进行推理.
2.运用情态动词推测事物的归属.(Whose+sth+is this / Whose +is this+sth It must/may/could/might /can’t belong to+sb.…etc.)
3.能从听力中获取信息,并完成相应练习.
4.通过听说训练体验情态动词在句中的灵活运用。 相信自己,你准行!

(一)预习课本P34-35,默写下列词组。

(二)语法:英语中,对某件事表推测的时候,通常会用情态动词must, can, could,may, might, can’t。
1.肯定推测:按推测的可能性来区别,语气由强到弱的顺序为:must,can,could,may,might。must(只用于肯定句,“准是,一定”。否定用can’t)的可能性最大, 其余4个情态动词均表“可能”。could,might 常用于过去时,表示推测的可能性比较小。为使语气委婉,常用could,might代替can,may。Eg.
Our teacher must be in the office because the light is on.
Jim has had no sleep for 24 hours.He must be tired.
He may go back next week.
He thinks it could/ might be wise to try his luck there.
2. 否定推测: can’t ,couldn’t,语气最强,“不可能”.Eg.He can’t be at home because he has gone to Beijing.
3.情态动词表示推测的结构:
情态动词+ 动词原形,表对现在情况的推测.
This book must be Tom’s. He is looking for it.
