Adverbial
Clauses
在复合句中，如果作状语的是一个从句，该从句被称为状语从句。
状语从句可以表示时间、地点、原因、条件、目的、结果、让步、比较和方式等。
用从句来表达一件事情或一个行为发生的时间，这个从句就叫做时间状语从句。
when引导的时间状语从句：
when既可指某时间点发生的事，也可指某时间段发生的事；从句中既可用持续性动词，也可用非持续性动词；主句与从句的动作既可以是同时发生，也可以是先后发生。

时间状语从句常用引导词
while引导的时间状语从句：
while
强调主句的行为是在从句动作进行
的过程中发生的；从句中要用持续性动词。

as引导的时间状语从句：
as侧重于表示主句和从句的动作同时发生
或者一个动作随着另一个动作的发生而发生。

表示从句的动作一发生，主句的动作马上发生，强调动作紧密相连。

before引导的时间状语从句：
before意为“在……之前”，表示主句的动作发生在从句动作之前。

after引导的时间状语从句：
after意为“在……之后”，表示主句的动作发生在从句动作之后。

until和till引导的时间状语从句:
一般情况下，两者可以互换，但在句首多用until。

注意：在时间状语从句中，如果主句是一般将来时，从句通常用一般现在时表示将来。
since引导的时间状语从句：
常与完成时连用。
