hundreds

British
sailor
Alex
Bond
was
travelling
in
his
boat
all
the
way
from
the
coast
of
England
to
Australia.
On
the
way
he
stopped
his
boat
on
an
island
called
Kanton
Island.
He
would
like
to
stop
for
a
short
rest,
but
his
stop
soon
turned
into
a
life-helping
work.
When
Bond
and
his
partners
began
going
through
the
island,
they
met
10
native
adults
and
their
14
children.
The
native
people
had
eaten
little
food
for
weeks,
and
were
very
tired.
The
islanders
depended
on
food
taken
by
boat,
but
the
boat
was
now
months
late.
For
over
three
months,
they
have
had
nothing
to
eat—only
the
coconuts
that
grew
on
the
island,
and
any
?sh
that
they
could
catch.
Luckily,
Bond
had
some
food
more
than
usual
on
the
boat,
and
quickly
gave
out
anything
he
could
to
the
hungry
islanders.
Then
he
used
his
radio
to
call
the
police
for
help.
The
police
received
his
message.
Soon,
the
islanders
received
some
food
including
rice,
sugar,
and
?our.
Bond
hadn’t
expected
to
turn
his
holiday
into
a
rescue
duty.
Saving
lives
was
nothing
new
for
the
sailor,
but
he
didn’t
think
he
minded
working
on
an
off-day.

Once
upon
a
time,
there
was
a
villager
with
the
name
Anansi.
He
knew
that
he
was
very
clever
but
he
also
knew
he
wasn’t
wise.
He
didn’t
like
this,
but
he
did
not
know
what
to
do.
One
day
he
had
an
idea.
He
went
around
the
village
with
a
basket
and
asked
each
person
to
give
him
some
of
their
wisdom
(智慧).
The
people
put
a
bit
in
his
basket
and
wished
him
good
luck.
Soon
his
basket
was
full,
but
Anansi
was
worried
that
his
neighbours
might
be
jealous
(嫉妒)
of
his
wisdom
and
take
it
from
him.
He
decided
to
hide
it
at
the
top
of
a
tall
tree.
When
he
tied
the
basket
to
the
front
part
of
his
body,
he
tried
to
climb
the
tree,
but
it
was
too
dif?cult.
He
tried
again
and
again
without
success.
Then
his
youngest
son
walked
by,
“What
are
you
doing,
father?”
he
asked
and
Anansi
told
him,
“Why
don’t
you
carry
the
basket
on
your
back
instead?”
his
son
said.
Anansi
put
the
basket
on
his
back
and
climbed
the
tree
easily,
but
he
wasn’t
happy.
“I
walked
all
over
the
village
and
collected
so
much
wisdom
that
I
am
the
wisest
person
ever,
but
my
baby
son
is
still
wiser
than
me.
Take
back
your
wisdom!”
he
said.
And
he
threw
the
basket
of
wisdom
into
the
air
and
went
home.
And
that’s
how
wisdom
went
all
over
the
world.

An
old
father
left
seventeen
camels
(骆驼)to
his
three
sons
before
he
died.
Some
days
later,
he
left
this
will
(遗嘱)to
his
sons
and
died.
According,
to
the
will,
the
eldest
son
should
get
half
of
the
seventeen
camels,
the
middle
son
should
be
given
one-third
of
the
seventeen
camels,and
the
youngest
(最年轻的)son
should
be
given
one-ninth
of
the
seventeen
camels.
However,
it
is
not
possible
to
divide
seventeen
into
half
or
that
seventeen
divided
by
three
or
by
nine.
The
three
sons
started
to
fight
with
each
other.

thing.

camel
of

it
to

the
total
number
was
eighteen.
Now,
the
old
man
started
reading
the
father’s
will.
Half
of
eighteen
is
nine,
so
he
gave
the
eldest
son
nine
camels.
One
third
of
eighteen
is
six,
so
he
gave
the
middle
son
six
camels.
One
ninth
of,
eighteen
is
two,
so
he
gave
the
youngest
son
two
camels.
Then
add
these
numbers
up:
nine
plus
six,
and
then
plus
two,
so
it
is
seventeen.
At
last,
it
left
one
camel,
and
the
three
sons
gave
the
camel
back
to
the
old
man.

Numbers
always
play
an
important
part
in
China.
People
in
China
associate
good
things
with
lucky
numbers.
So
lucky
numbers
came
into
being
on
their
own
way.
Chinese
people
always
pay
attention
to
the
lucky
numbers
in
the
daily
life,
such
as
choosing
(选择)telephone
numbers,
choosing
a
date
for
important
parties
and
choosing
a
good
number
for
their
cars.
They
think
lucky
numbers
can
bring
them
good
luck.
In
China,
people
think
even
(偶数的)numbers
are
good
but
odd
(奇数的)ones
are
not,
so
they
often
give
others
presents
in
even
numbers.
The
number
8
is
regarded
as
a
very
good
number
in
China
because
when
you
read
it
in
Chinese,
it
sounds
like
the
word“Fa”,meaning
success
and
money.
So

The
Moon
travels
around
the
Earth.
Most
nights,
the

This
is
because

Peter
was
good
at
table
tennis.
And
he
almost
won
all
the
table
tennis
matches
in
his
school.
If
he
won,
he
would
feel
good.
If
he
didn’t
win,
he
would
feel
bad.
A
new
student,
Albert,
came
to
study
in
Peter’s
school.
Albert
was
good
at
table
tennis
too.
Soon
there
would
be
a
match
between
Peter
and
Albert.
Peter
worked
hard
to
get
ready
for
the
match,
but
Albert
didn’t
think
much
of
it.
When
the
match
began,
Albert
did
like
a
good
player.
There
was
always
a
smile
on
his
face,
while
Peter
looked
nervous
all
the
time
because
he
just
wanted
to
win.
Peter
thought
it
was
more
important
to
win
the
match
than
anything,
but
he
didn’t
win
at
last.
“You
played
very
well,
Peter.
I
think
we
can
play
again
sometime,”
said
Albert.
But
Peter
felt
bad
and
he
couldn’t
fall
asleep
that
night.
One
day,
Peter
saw
Albert
playing
basketball
again
and
again
and
he
didn’t
win.
But
the
happy
smile
never
left
Albert’s
face.
Whether
(是否)he
won
the
game
or
not,
Albert
enjoyed
it.
Peter
came
to
realize
that
enjoying
a
game
was
much
more
important
than
winning
it.
He
felt
happier
than
ever
before.
(
)31.
How
did
Peter
feel
when
he
won
a
match?
A.
Happy.
B.
Nervous.
C.
Tired.
D.
Bored.
(
)32.
Who
was
Albert?
A.
Peter’s
friend.
B.
Peter’s
classmate.
C.
Peter’s
schoolmate.
D.
Peter’s
roommate.
(
)33.
Why
did
Peter
lose
the
table
tennis
match?
A.
Because
he
was
not
good
at
table
tennis.
B.
Because
he
didn’t
get
ready
for
the
match.
C.
Because
he
was
not
happy
that
day.
D.
Because
he
didn’t
enjoy
the
match.
(
)34.
Which
of
the
following
is
TRUE?
A.
Peter
didn’t
care
about
whether
he
won
at
first.
B.
Albert
won
the
table
tennis
match
because
of
good
luck.
C.
Albert
was
not
good
at
basketball.
D.
Peter
and
Albert
became
good
friends
at
last.
(
)35.
What
can
we
learn
from
the
passage?
A.
Do
what
we
are
good
at.
B.
Enjoy
what
we
do.
C.
We
should
always
smile.
D.
Being
happy
is
the
most
important
thing.
C
What
do
people
do
with
their
old
but
still
useful
computers?
Most
people
don’t
know
what
to
do
with
them,
so
they
usually
put
the
old
computers
away
in
their
homes
or
just
throw
them
away.
Finally,
some
companies
are
thinking
of
ways
to
bring
down
the
number
of
old
computers.
Sony
agreed
to
help
recycle
old
Sony
computers
years
ago.
Dell,
Hewlett
Packard
and
other
companies
now
also
take
back
some
old
computers.
In
some
countries,
computer
companies
have
to
collect
and
recycle
their
old
computers.
And
they
have
to
recycle
70%
of
the
computer
waste.
The
rule
behind
these
ideas
is
that
computer
companies
themselves
should
pay
for
it.
It
will
encourage
them
to
make
computers
that
are
cheaper
to
repair
(修理).
Many
people
are
throwing
away
old
but
still
useful
computers,
but
other
people
think
they
are
expensive.
Thousands
of
people
are
working
on
this,
problem.
They
collect
and
repair
old
computers.
Some
also
teach
others
how
to
repair
computers.
The
computers
then
are
given
away
to
schools
and
people
who
need
them.
Giving
a
used
computer
to
one
who
needs
it
can
turn
one
person’s
old
thing
into
another
person’s
useful
thing
and
cut
down
on
waste
too.
(
)36.
What
do
most
people
usually
do
with
their
old
computers?
A.
They
sell
them
to
others.
B.
They
repair
them
and
still
use
them.
C.
They
give
them
to
schools.
D.
They
put
them
away
or
throw
them
away.
(
)37.
What
does
the
underlined
word
“recycle”
mean?
A.
Repair
again.
B.
Sell
out.
C.
Use
again.
D.
Throw
away.
(
)38.
According
to
the
rule
in
some
countries,
what
should
computer
companies
do?
A.
They
should
take
back
some
old
computers
and
recycle
them.
B.
They
should
make
computers
that
are
cheaper
to
buy.
C.
They
should
recycle
all
their
old
computers.
D.
They
should
repair
all
the
old
computers.
(
)39.

The
Internet
is
becoming
more
and
more
important
in
our
daily
life.
However,
imagine
you
get
something
like
this:
ARE
YOU
GOING
TO
CLASS
TODAY?
Why
did
the
person
use
all
capital
letters
(大写字母)?
The
fact
is
that
the
person
shouted
online.
Here
are
some
of
ways
of
talking
correctly
with
others
on
the
Internet.
Always
remember
that
you
are
sending
messages
to
a
person,
not
just
to
a
computer.
Don’t
write
anything
that
you
wouldn’t
say
to
someone’s
face.
Also,
make
sure
what
you
want
to
say
is
clear.
Don’t
do
anything
online
that
you
wouldn’t
do
in
real
life.
Don’t
copy
information
that
someone
else
has
written.
Do
share
(分享)your
knowledge
of
the
Internet
with
others.
It’s
a
big
place
with
lots
of
information,
and
there
are
many
new
things
to
find.
People
give
an
idea
about
you
by
your
words
as
well
as
what
you
do,
so
try
to
write
well.
Send
well-written
emails
or
messages
to
others.
If
you,
re
not
sure
about
how
to
write
a
word,
look
it
up.
Share
your
ideas,
but
remember
that
fighting
online
or
offline
is
not
right.
When
you’re
online,
just
as
in
the
real
life,
try
to
be
polite
(礼貌的)to
other
people’s
space
and
feelings.
Remember,
you’re
not
the
only
one
travelling
on
this
highway!

asked
the
old
man,
"What
kind
of
tree
are
you
planting
there?”
“This
is
a
fig
(无花果)tree,”
the
old
man
said.
“A
fig
tree?”
the
young
man
was
very
surprised.
“Why,
how
old
are
you?
“I
am
ninety
years
old.”
“What!”
cried
the
young
man.
“You’re
ninety
years
old.
You
are
planting
a
very
young
tree
now
and
it’ll
take
years
to
give
fruit.
You
certainly
won’t
live
long
enough
to
get
any
fruit
from
this
tree.”
The
old
man
looked
around
the
garden.
Then
he
said
with
a
smile,
“Did
you
eat
figs
when
you
were
a
boy?”
“Sure,”
the
young
man
answered
and
he
did
not
know
why
the
old
man
asked
this
question.
Then
the
old
man
asked,
“Who
planted
the
fig
trees?”
“I
don’t
know.”
“You
see?
sir,”
the
old
man
said
slowly.
“Our
ancestors
planted
trees
for
us
to
enjoy
and
I
am
doing
the
same
for
the
people
after
me.”
The
young
man
said,
"You
are
right.
We
should
do
some
things
for
the
people
after
us.”

Most
great
inventors
often
meet
with
many
difficulties
in
their
work
before
they
become
successful.
George
Stephenson,
a
famous
British
inventor,
made
the
first
train
in
1825,
using
a
steam
engine
(蒸汽机).When
he
was
making
the
train,he
met
with
a
lot
of
difficulties.
Many
people
said
that
it
would
kill
animals
and
the
engine
would
catch
fire
to
their
houses.
George
Stephenson
told
the
people
that
the
train
could
go
on
small
rails,
and
it
could
pull
carriages
full
of
things
and
passengers
and
there
was
no
great
danger
to
them.
It
was
difficult
for
him
to
make
them
believe
(相信).
However,
after
some
time,
he
was
able
to
do
it,
and
the
first
train
that
was
driven
by
Stephenson
himself
showed
what
he
had
said.
On
the
train
there
was
a
new
steam
engine.
It
was
invented
by
him,
and
it
was
a
complete
success.
The
first
day
when
the
train
ran
on
the
rails,
people
along
the
way
heard
the
noise
and
saw
it
running
quickly
to
them.
They
ran
quickly
back
home
and
closed
their
doors.
They
didn’t
come
out
until
it
went
away.
A
week
later
an
old
woman
still
said
that
her
hen
was
so
frightened
(受惊吓的)that
it
didn’t
lay
any
eggs
for
three
days.

In
1825.
B.
In
1835.
C.
In
1725.
D.
In
1735.
(
)37.
Why
did
George
meet
difficulties?
A.
Because
people
saw
his
invention
before.
B.
Because
his
invention
was
too
dangerous.
C.
Because
there
was
something
wrong
with
his
invention.
D.
Because
people
thought
his
invention
was
not
safe.
(
)38.
How
did
George
show
that
he
was
right?
A.
He
told
people
the
train
was
good
enough
and
useful.
B.
He
operated
the
train
by
himself
and
it
became
successful.
C.
He
asked
some
famous
people
to
operate
the
train.
D.
He
told
people
how
file
train
was
made.
(

How
did
people
feel
when
the
train
ran
to
them?
A.
Excited.

What’s
the
main
idea
of
the
passage?
A.
If
you
study
hard,
you
will
be
a
great
inventor.
B.
We
all
should
have
a
dream
to
invent
something.
C.
When
you
invent
something,
you
should
show
it
to
others.
D.
Every
successful
inventor
has
difficulties
in

D
Many
great
inventions
changed
the
way
we
live.
The
first
great
invention
was
the
one
that
is
still
very
important
today

the
wheel.
There
were
few
inventions
that
had
as
much
influence
as
the
wheel
for
many
years.
In
the
early
1800s,
the
world
started
to
change.
There
was
little
unknown
land
left
in
the
world.
People
began
to
work
to
make
life
better.
In
the
19th
century,
many
great
inventions
such
as
the
camera,
the
light
and
the
telephone
came
into
being.
The
20th
century
saw
more
great
inventions

movies
with
sound
in
1910,
the
computer
in
1946,
and
jet
planes
(喷气式飞机)in
the
1930s.
Nylon
came
out
in
1935.
It
changed
the
kind
of
clothes
people
wore.
By
this
time
human
beings
had
a
strong
wish
to
explore
(探索)again.
The
world
was
known
to
human
beings
but
the
stars
were
not.
Human
beings
began
looking
for
ways
to
go
into
space.
Russia
made
the
first
step.
Then
the
United
States
took
a
step.
Since
then
other
countries,
including
China
and
Japan,
have
made
their
steps
into
space.
In
1969
human
beings
took
their
biggest
step
from
the
Earth.
An
American
first
walked
on
the
Moon.
That
was
just
a
beginning.
New
inventions
will
some
day
allow
us
to
do
things
we
have
never
thought.

My
experience
of
the
educational
exchange
was
made
interesting
both
by
lectures
given
by
Asian
professors
and
through
interacting
(互动)with
students
coming
from
different
countries.
Living
in
Japan
made
me
realize
that
getting
into
a
completely
different
culture
is
really
challenging.
For
the
first
time,
I
was
trying
to
find
the
right
way
to
interact
with
them.
For
example,
there
are
a
lot
of
social
(社会的)rules
in
Japan.
Sometimes
people
have
to
follow
them.
One
has
to
find
the
balance
(平衡)between
one’s
need
to
become
a
“normal”
part
of
society
and
one’s
difference.
I
have
learnt
a
lot
from
the
educational
exchange.
I
would
encourage
all
students
to
go
through
such
an
experience
because
it
can
provide
one
with
a
chance
to
learn
the
language
of
another
country.
And
it
will
allow
you
not
only
to
interact
with
local
people
but
also
to
know
better
how
social
rules
are
different
from
yours.
To
join
an
artistic,
cultural
or
a
sports
club
is-a
great
way
to
meet
friends
and
learn
more
about
the
country.

D.
The

What
is
the
writer^
advice
to
other
students?
A.
Going
on
an
educational
exchange
would
be
good
for
them.
B.
Learning
the
language
of
another
country
would
be
useless.
C.
An
educational
exchange
won,t
help
them
interact
with
others.
D.
Joining
a
club
may
not
be
good
for
making
friends.
(

What
can
we
know
from
the
passage?
A.
Getting
into
a
different

is

B.
Learning
more
about
culture
is
the
most
important.
C.
There
are

of

Tom
arrived
at
the
bus
station
early
for
Paris.
The
bus
for
Paris
would
not
leave
until
five
to
twelve.
He
saw
a
lot
of
people
waiting
at
the
station.
Some
were
standing
in
line,
others
were
walking
around.
A
teacher
was
trying
to
keep
a
group
of
schoolgirls
in
line.
Tom
looked
around
but
there
was
no
place
for
him
to

He
walked
into
the
station
cafe.
He
looked
up
at
the
clock
there.
It
was
only
twenty
to
twelve.
He
found
a
seat
and
sat
down
before
a
large
mirror

the

Just
then,
Peter,
one
of
Tom’s
workmates
came
in

sat
with
Tom.
“What
time

your
bus?”
asked
Peter.
“There
is
a
lot
of
time
yet.”
answered
Tom.
“Well,
I’ll
get
you
some
more
tea
then.”
They
talked
while
drinking.
Then
Tom
looked
in
the
mirror
this
time
and
he
didn’t
realize
it.
“Oh!
The
clock
is
going
backward

he
cried.
“A
few
minutes
ago
it
was
twenty

twelve
and
now
it’s
half
past
eleven.”
“But
you
are
looking
at
the

the

this

said
Peter.
Tom
was
so
sad.
The
next

Since
then
Tom
has
never
liked
mirrors.

B.
Because
it
was
early
and
he
could
find
a

The
clock

A

Tom

D
The
Vieira
family
moved
to
the
United
States
in
1981.
At
that
time,
they
decided
to
stop
speaking
Spanish
at
home
but
English.
It
was
because
they
were
living
in
an
English-speaking
country
then.
Now
the
Vieira
children
grow
up,
and
they
sometimes
travel
to
Spain
to
visit
their
friends.
But
they
cannot
talk
with
them.
Unluckily,
this
is
common.
When
people
move
to
new
countries,
they
often
leave
their
own
culture
and
mother
language
behind.
It’s
wrong
because
it’s
better
to
know
more
than
one
language.
If
you
can
speak
more
than
one
language,
you
can
talk
directly
(直接地)with
more
people
around
the
world.
People
who
know
only
one
language
must
depend
on
others
to
help
them
talk
with
people
in
other
countries.
What’s
more,
speaking
a
second
language
also
helps
people
to
experience
other
cultures
better.
If
you
know
a
second
language,
you
may
know
some
jokes
in
other
countries.
So,
knowing
more
than
one
language
helps
you
know
more
about
other
cultures.
It’s
very
sad
that
many
people
don’t
try
to
learn
another
language.
It’s
even
worse
when
people
let
themselves
forget
their
mother
language.

Why
did
the

stop

A.
Because

B.
Because
it
was
difficult
for
their
kids
to
learn
to
speak

C.
Because
the
country
didn’t
allow
them
to
speak
Spanish.

Spanish
was
out
of

and
they
didn’t

I
was
telling
my
boy
Sonny
the
story
of
The
tortoise
and
the
hare
(龟兔赛跑).In
the
end
I
said,
“Sonny,
remember:
Be
slow

steady

you
will
win
the
race
(赛跑).
Don’t
you
think
there’s
something

Sonny
opened
his
eyes
widely
and
said,
“Do

next
time
when
I
join
the
60-metre
race
I
should
wish
that
Billy,
Tony
and
Sandy

all
fall
asleep
halfway?’’
I
was
in
a
great
surprise,
“But
the
tortoise
didn’t
wish
that
the
hare
would
fall
asleep!”
“He
must
have
already
wished
that,”
Sonny
said.
“Otherwise
how
could
he
be
so
foolish
to
challenge
the
hare?
He
knew
very
well
the
hare
ran
a
hundred
times
faster
than
he
himself
did.”
“He
didn’t
have
such
a
wish,”
I
continued.
“He
won
the
race
by
pushing
on
steadily.”
Sonny
thought
a
while.
“That’s
a
lie,”
he
said.
“He
won
it
because
he
was
lucky.
If
the
hare

tortoise
would

Do
you
know
what
the
skin
(皮肤)
is?
Skin
is
the
name
for
the
special
things
on
our
bodies.
It
comes
in
colors
such
as
black,
brown,
white,
yellow
and
red.
However,
the
color
of
the
skin
is
not
important.
All
skin
has
one
important
job

to
keep
heat
(热)
inside
our
bodies.
With
this,
your
skin
will
be
able
to
help
keep
you
and
your
body
safe
for
a
long
time.
Skin
has
two
parts.
The
first
part
we
can
see
is
called
the
epidermis
(表皮).
It
is
very
thin
and
it
is
kind
of
dead
skin.
The
body
makes
the
epidermis
all
the
time.
People
lose
about
20kg
of
dead
skin
in
their
lives.
The
inside
part
of
skin
is
called
the
dermis
(真皮).The
skin
in
this
part
is
living.
The
dermis
is
very
important
because
it
makes
new
skin
for
the
epidermis.
At
the
same
time,
the
dermis
has
lots
of
small
glands
(腺体).
These
glands
are
important
to
us
because
they
can
make
some
useful
things
to
help
to
keep
our
skin
soft.
Also,
the
dermis
is
important
because
it
lets
the
body
lose
some
of
its
heat.
In
this
way,
the
body
does
not
get
too
hot.
So
next
time
you
must
look
after
your
skin
because
it
helps
you
a
lot.

of
the

always
lose
according
to
the
passage?
A.
The
epidermis.
B.
The
dermis.
C.
The
glands.
D.
The
hair.
(
)42.
Why
is
the
dermis
important
to
our
body?
A.
Because
it’s
the
living
part.
B.
Because
it’s
the
inside
part
of
skin.
C.
Because
it
has
different
kinds
of
colors.
D.
Because
it
makes
new
skin
for
the
epidermis.
(

What
can
we
know
from
the
passage?
A.
The
epidermis
is
not
important
to
our
body.

in
only
yellow,
black
and
white.
C.
The
dermis
keeps
on
making
new
skin
for
the
epidermis.
D.
All
skin
keeps
the
heat
inside
our
body,
and

let
it
lose.

Scientists
are
working
on
something
new.
It
is
a
machine
that
can
give
blind
people
a
new
way
to
read.
Soon
the
blind
may
be
able
to
read
almost
everything.
The
machine
is
called
the
FingerReader.
It
is
like
a

(扫描)words
and
then
a
computer
will
read
the
words
out
loudly.
It
works
more
quickly
than
any
other
reading
machines.
Making
the
FingerReader
wasn’t
easy.
Scientists
tried
many
different
ideas.
It
took
them
three
years
to
make
it.
Many
blind
people
helped
to
test
the
machine.
Jerry
Berrier,
62

old,
was
one
of
them.
Jerry
was
born
blind.
He
likes
the

The
FingerReader
can
read
books,
magazines,
newspapers
and
computer
screens,
but
it
has

Scientists
think

the
FingerReader
is

because
it
can
really
change
blind

Memory
plays
an
important
part
in
our
daily
life.
Some
people
can
remember
lots
of
information
in
a
short
time,
but
some
can’t.
If
you
want
to
have
a
good
memory,
please
read
the
following
advice.
Understand
your
memory
The
information
your
brain
takes
in
at
any
time
is
registered
(记录)and
then
stored.
But
how
l6ng
it
stays
depends
on
what
type
of
memory
the
information
becomes
in
one’s
brain.
According
to
some
scientists,
there
are
three
types
of
memory:
immediate
(瞬时),short-term
and
long4erm
memory.
Focus
(使集中)
Focusing
your
attention
as
you
get
some
information
can
help
you
remember
it.
A
good
memory
is
often
the
product
of
good
habits,
so
next
time
you’re
introduced
to
someone
new,
try
to
focus
first.
Work
out
(锻炼)your
mind
and
body
We
all
know
exercising
is
helpful
to
our
bodies.
What’s
more,
working
out
your
mind
and
body
can
be
good

What’s
the

for
the
passage?
A.
How
to
improve
your

B.
Memory
is
the
most
important
thing
in
our
life
C.
How
to
keep
your
brain
healthy
D.
Good
memory
makes
you
successful
D
As
we
all
know,
having
a
great
memory
is
important.
It
can
help
you
succeed
in
school,
in
your
job,
and
in
life.
It
also
helps
you
learn
faster
and
better.
We
all
know
that
fest
learners
are
always
in
demand.
If
you
have
a
great
memory,
I’m
sure
you
can
succeed
more
easily.
If
you
are
willing
to
make
a
few
changes
in
your
life,
you
should
improve
your
memory
first.
My
plan
is
to
explain
every
skill
that
can
help
you
improve
your
memory.
You
can
not
only
learn
memory
skills
on
this
website,
but
also
learn
how
to
improve
your
memory
through
diet,
exercise,
sleep
and
other
ways.
I
think
that
memory
improvement
can
be
achieved
(实现)in
two
ways:
improving
the
health
of
your
brain
and
using
memory
skills.
Many
people
think
they
may
be
difficult.
In
fact,
they
are
easier
to
do
than
you
might
think,
but
you
have
to
work
hard
by
yourself.
Memory
improvement
needs
time
and
effort
on
your
part.
You
cannot
improve
your
memory
if
you
do
not
work
on
it.
Of
course,
I
believe
that
a
more
powerful
brain
is
well
worth
the
effort!
Here
are
a
few
of
the
great
memory
improvement
tips.

will
give

What
is
DIY?
Why
do
many
people
like
it?
Yang
Chen
works
for
a
computer
business
in
Beijing.
He
enjoys
his
work,
but
it
is
not
easy
for
him
to
relax
after
work.
One
day
when
he
saw
many
toy
dogs
in
a
toy
shop,
he
had
an
idea.
“Why
not
make
them
by
myself?”
Then
he
began
to
make
model
planes,
model
ships
and
something
else.
He
has
great
interest
in
it
because
it
brings
him
lots
of
fun
and
makes
his
life
colourful.
So
what
is
DIY?
Yes,
it
is
making
or
creating
things
on
your
own,
with
your
own
hands.
It
may
take
much
time,
but
some
people,
now
known
as
DIYers

do-it-yourselfers,
enjoy
doing
it
very
much.
They
enjoy
it
because
it
is
fun.
And
they
also
say
it
helps
them
save
money
too.
What’s
more,
they
think
it
is
a
good
way
to
protect
the
environment.
It
is
a
kind
of
green
life.
In
fact,
DIY
is
not
a
modem
thing
in
China.
Many
people
remember
when
it
was
once
a
way
of
life
in
the
past.
During
the
1960s
and
1970s,
when
there
were
not
enough
living
things
for
people
to
live
on,
they
had
to
use
their
own
hands
to
do
many
things.
If
you
wanted
something,
you
had
to
do
it
by
yourself.
And
if
you
needed
something,
you
made
it
by
yourself.
Times
have
changed
and
DIY
also
has
different
significations.
