1.
形容词和副词的最高级的构成
形容词和副词最高级的规则变化：
（1）单音节词末尾加-est：
eg:
great

（2）单音节若以e结尾，只加-st：
eg:
fine

nice

wide
→
widest
（3）重读闭音节单音节词若末尾只有一个辅音
字母，须先双写这个辅音字母，再加-est：

（4）以辅音字母+y结尾的词，则变y为-i，再加-est：

最高级用于三者或三者以上的人或事（物）之间的比较。
在句中常含有表示比较范围的介词of/

后面一般接表示一群人或事物的代词或名词，in
后面一般接表示单位或场所的名词。

【注意】最高级前是否加定冠词the

总的原则：形容词的最高级前一定要加定冠词the；副词的最高级前可加，也可不加。

（长、大、远……）”时，序数词后用形容词的最高级形式。
eg：黄河是中国的第二长河。
