1.
形容词和副词的最高级的构成
形容词和副词最高级的规则变化:
(1)单音节词末尾加-est:
eg:
great

(2)单音节若以e结尾,只加-st:
eg:

wide

widest
(3)重读闭音节单音节词若末尾只有一个辅音
字母,须先双写这个辅音字母,再加-est:

最高级用于三者或三者以上的人或事(物)之间的比较。
在句中常含有表示比较范围的介词of/

后面一般接表示一群人或事物的代词或名词,in
后面一般接表示单位或场所的名词。

【注意】最高级前是否加定冠词the

总的原则:形容词的最高级前一定要加定冠词the;副词的最高级前可加,也可不加。
(1)序数词后用最高级。在表达“第几
(长、大、远……)”时,序数词后用形容词的最高级形式。
eg:黄河是中国的第二长河。
