教材分析本单元的教学核心项目是“描述人的外貌”(Describe People),涉及到讨论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及其着装等语言项目。教材内容围绕着描述人的外貌特点展开,让学生学会谈论人的身高、体重、发型、面部特征及着装特点,以人的外貌特征为主线,兼顾交际功能的学习,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生学会用英语介绍自己或他人的外表特征。这些内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,易于引发学生运用简单的英语进行交际和交流,所以在学习活动中,学生能通过交换对不同人物的描述及看法,促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流,增进情谊。
学情分析:学生们已经学习了关于身体部位的一些单词,如face, ears, eyes, nose, mouth。这为本节课的学习奠定了良好的基础。关于动词第一人称和第三人称单数的用法学生们已经学过,这节课的内容相对来说容易多了。对于描述人物外貌特征的单词学生们已经接触过了,如tall,short 等,通过这类词以及图片的对比学习新单词会更容易些。做游戏是学生们喜欢的教学方式,要考虑学生特点,采取多样有趣的方式方法提高学生兴趣,提高课堂效率,使学生快乐学习。
教学目标语言知识目标:学习描述人物外貌的词汇:hair, straight, curly, tall, medium, height, heavy, thin, build.熟练掌握谈论人物头发、身高、体形的句型:What do you look like I have long hair. What does he/she look like He/She is tall. 语言技能目标:能概括人物的外貌特征并根据人物特征推理出某一人物。能替自己和别人进行新形象设计,能和合作伙伴互相交流,充分交换信息。能掌握本单元出现的表示人外观的词组及句型,并能结合实际生活进行灵活运用,用这些词组及句型描述别人的外表,提高写作水平。情感态度目标:通过描述自己、同学、亲人、偶像的外貌,简单地表达自己的观点或好恶,学会交换不同的看法,使学生在人际交往中学会尊重和理解别人。教育学生要多发现别人的优点,学会赞美别人,友好地描述别人的形象。 学会赏识,懂得心灵美比外表美更重要。能在小组活动中积极与他人合作,相互帮助,共同完成学习任务, 尽情享受学习的乐趣。 文化意识目标: 了解不同人的外貌和同一人的不同外貌,了解在中西方文化中表达自己的观点时存在的差异,我们比较委婉,而西方人则比较直接些,对学生进行不同文化意识的渗透。同时让学生在给自己或别人画像时提高绘画水平和审美意识;让学生了解不同外貌作用的背景知识,实现跨学科交流的目的。
教学重、难点重点:掌握描述人物外貌特征的词汇和句型。采用图片比较,领读,做动作难点:主语为第三人称单数时的问句,2b听力填空,is与have的用法区别。方法:采用图片比较,领读,做动作等方法来学习单词,利用Pairwork, Groupwork, Guess等形式来操练句型。用句子的对比让学生观察is和has的区别。在练习听力时,适当的给出解释,降低听力难度,在2b写单词部分要给出适当的时间让学生完成。教学流程图:
课前准备:搜集有关人物外表的词汇如:身高、身材、年龄、头发颜色,长度及发型、脸部特征、着装、性格的词语(至少15个),分小组写出描述同一器官的不同词语。PPT

教学反思
整个教学活动中,学生通过做动作、小组活动、结对活动,表现了很高的参与性。努力倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式。本课的导入以贴近实际生活作为教学任务,创设一种真实的、贴近生活实际的教学情境,培养学生以英语语言,从而提高学生语言综合运用能力、自主学习和发散思维的能力。课堂组织形式以小组活动为主,增加每个学生课堂参与的机会和发挥个性特长的机会,在参与中培养学生的合作精神、团队精神以及相互学习、资源共享的意识。在活动中引导学生不断整合已经学过的知识,进一步提高语言的运用能力,即培养学生的记忆、观察、思维、想象能力和创新精神。在整个的教学活动中,贯穿着竞赛的机制,学生通过报告、师生活动、生生活动、小组活动,表现出了很高的参与性,合作能力和用语言做事情能力都比较强,收到了较理想的教学效果。但也存在着一些缺撼:如:课前学生的紧张情绪没有得到很好地缓解,导致整节课部分学生并没有真正进入角色。学生在读自己所描述的人物的时候,有一些语法错误由于语速快而无法及时指出并纠正过来,如果把这一读的活动变为将所写呈现在黑板上,则一切一目了然,更有利于帮助学生及时纠正语法错误,这样郊果会更好。每一个活动完成后,总结和点评处理的不够及时。没能为学生创造求异思维的空间,没有达到更深层次输出语言信息的目的。如果把这一活动分解为听说读写,各小组选一项,效果会更好。在以后的教学活动中将更进一步去研究、去完善,力争做得更好。
