The

(冀教版九年级)
The
lesson
I
gave
is
from
Unit

in
Junior

with
the
title
of
“The

Chapter
1:
Design
Concept
1.1
Guiding
ideology
of
teaching
Since
we
are
working
on
the
project
of
mind
map,
I
decided
to
use
a
mind
map
as
the
main
clue
to
guide
the
students
to
understand
the
text
clearly.
Besides,
I
hoped
that
the
students
could
be
creative
and
can
have
their
own
opinions.
Therefore,
What’s
more,
I
intended
to
focus
on
reading,
so
I
would
like
to
pay
a
lot
of
attention
to
improving
students’
reading
skills.
As
for
reading
skills,
the
students
ought
to
master
the
abilities
of
skimming
&scanning
and
inferring.
1.2
Analysis
of
the
teaching
material
1.2.1
The
importance
of
reading
As
is
known
to
all,
reading
plays
an
important
role
in
English
teaching,
for
English
is
a
language,
which
requires
people
to
get
more
information
to
ensure
their
daily
communication.
In
terms
of
the
students,
they
ought
to
develop
their
reading
skill
so
that
they
can
not
only
pass
their
examination,
but
also
communicate
well
with
others.
1.2.2
The
difficulties
of
reading
English
is
a
foreign
language
for
the
students,
which
means
that
they
may
be
influenced
by
their
mother
tongue.
Very
often,
they
are
more
likely
to
think
in
Chinese
instead
of
English.
Once
the
students
have
met
some
new
words
and
phrases,
they
may
possibly
give
up
their
reading.
What’s
more,
if
they
have
a
long
and
dull
passage
to
read,
it’s
hard
for
them
to
go
on
with
it.
1.2.3
The
easier
way
to
master
the
reading
material
During
the
process
of
daily
teaching,
we
found
that
it
woule
become
easier
for
the
students
to
go
on
with
reading
by
using
chunks
and
mind
maps.
Since
this
lesson
is
too
long,
and
it
is
a
little
bit
complex
to
use
chunks
only.
However,
after
using
a
flow
chart,
the
students
can
master
the
main
story
of
Sam.
To
help
them
find
it
is
interesting
to
remember
the
clue,
I
find
the
“smiling
face”
is
more
helpful
for
the
students.
1.3

Teaching
Preparation
2.1
Students’
preparation
Since
this
lesson
is
a
little
bit
long,
which
needs
students
to
prepare
well
for
this
lesson.
They
are
required
to
know
the
meanings
of
new
words
and
phrase,
besides,
they
ought
to
know
the
general
clue
of
the
text;
what’s
more,
it
will
be
better
if
they
can
draw
their
own
mind
maps
before
class.
2.2
Teacher’s
preparation
To
help
students
to
better
understand
such
a
long
text,
I
decided
to
use
a
minc
map
with
some
chunks.
I
used
a
flow
chart
at
the
beginning,
for
it
might
be
easier
for
the
students
to
accept.
After
being
familiar
with
the
flow
chart,
they
may
find
it’s
easy
to
unserdtand
a
more
abstract

Reflection
5.1
Strong
points:
5.1.1
The
whole
lesson
is
carried
out
in
English,
and
it
ensures
the
students
to
have
a
suitable
atmosphere
to
learn
English;
5.1.2
The
lesson
is
student-centered,
which
tries
to
make
the
students
be
the
master
of
the
class;
5.1.3
Although
the
text
is
too
long,
the
use
of
a
mind
map
makes
it’s
much
easier
for
the
students
to
master
the
key
clue
of
the
lesson;
5.1.4
The
students
are
encouraged
to
draw
their
own
mind
maps
and
have
their
own
opinions;
5.2
Weak
points:
5.2.1
The
tasks
should
be
assigned
to
different
groups.
All
the
students
were
required
to
finish
all
the
tasks
I
gave
in
the
class;
as
a
result,
some
students
had
no
time
to
finish
some
tasks.
5.2.2
Some
sentences
I
used
were
a
little
bit
long,
which
might
make
the
students
feel
complex.
5.3
Solution:
5.3.1
I
will
redesign
the
lesson
with
fewer
amounts
of
tasks,
and
I
am
going
to
assign
the
tasks
to
different
groups
of
students
to
make
sure
that
they
could
finish
the
tasks
more
carefully.
5.3.2
I
will
try
to
make
my
questions
much
easier,
so
that
the
students
could
use
one
sentence
to
answer
them.
Besides,
I
will
try
to
encourage
all
the
students
to
take
part
in
the
class
actively.
