Step 1 Leading in

Students read the numbers.
Step 2 Presentation
Say: I’m your teacher, and you’re a student. And you’re a new student here. We’re in Class…
Teach the conversation: —Are you a new student here?
—Yes, I am.
—What class are you in?
—I’m in Class…, Mr …’s class.
Then practice the conversation above.
Step 3 Listen and read (Activity 1)
Get the students to listen to the recording, and then read the conversation following the recording.
Then practice the conversation in pairs.
Step 4 Numbers
1. Listen repeat and say.
(1) Get the students to read the numbers following the recording. At the same time, the teacher shows the number cards to show the meaning of the number.
(2) The teacher shows the number cards to the class, and the students say out the numbers in English.
2. Listen and chant.

1. Get the class to read the conversation and fill in the form.
