Step 1 Leading in
Review the words and expressions.
(1) Show a family photo and get the students to talk in pairs.

(2) Ask some pairs to share their conversation in front of the class.
Step 2 Warming up
1. Where do they work? Label them.
(1) Ask the students to look at the pictures in Activity 1. Match the names and places individually.

(2) Elicit answers from the whole class.

2. Label the people in Activity 1 with the words and expression from the box.

(1) Make sure they understand what the words mean.

Step 6 Language points
1. These are my parents. 这是我的父母。/ This is my mother. 这是我的妈妈。
this, that, these, those 都是指示代词,用来指示或标识人或事物。其中, this 和 that 为单数, these 和 those 为复数。
This is my grandmother. 这是我奶奶。
That’s my dad. 那是我爸爸。
These are my friends. 这些是我的朋友。
Those are Paul’s son and daughter. 那是保罗的儿子和女儿。
【注意】通常,我们谈论离自己近的人或物用this/these,离自己远的人或物用that/those。
I like these books, but I don’t like those books.
我喜欢这些书,但是我不喜欢那些书。
This girl is Mary.
这个女孩是玛丽。
That boy is in Class 5.
那个男孩在五班。
2. She and Daming’s mother are at the same hospital. 她和大明的妈妈在同一家医院。
same形容词,意为“相同的”。其前常用定冠词the。反义词为different“不同的”。
They are in the same city. 他们在同一所城市。
3. What’s your father’s job? 你爸爸做什么工作?
What’s one’s job? 意为“某人的工作是什么?”,是询问职业的特殊疑问句。
—What’s your job? 你的工作是什么?
—I’m a singer. 我是一名歌手。

1. Ask them to underline capital letters and full stops.
