教学过程
Step 1 Leading in
Show a picture of a season to the students and ask them the following questions:
Can you say the four seasons(季节)?
How about their weather(天气)?

Step 2 Learning about new words.
Teach students the new words with the help of pictures.


Step 3 Listening, reading and writing
1. Listen and repeat.
(1) Let students listen to the tape and read after it for three times.
(2) Check the pronunciation of these words.
① spring ② summer ③ autumn ④ winter
⑤ warm ⑥ hot ⑦ cool ⑧ cold
2. Listen and repeat.
(1) Let students listen to the tape and read after it for three times.
(2) Ask students to pay attention to “in+季节名词”.
(3) Let students know that“it”refers to the weather.
1 It’s cool in autumn.
2 It’s hot in summer.
3 It’s cold in winter.
4 It’s warm in spring.
(4) Ask students to match the pictures with the sentences.

(5) Check the answers.

3. Listen and point.
(1)Ask students to listen to the tape and read out the dialogues for many times.
1 —What’s the weather like in spring?
—It’s warm.
2 —What’s the weather like in winter?
—It’s cold.
3 —What’s the weather like in autumn?
—It’s cool.
4 —What’s the weather like in summer?
—It’s hot.
(2) Summarise the main structure of the sentences.
询问天气的句型:What’s the weather like in…?
回答:It’s+表天气状况的词.
4. Ask and answer in pairs.
Ask students to practise the dialogue according to the picture.

5. Listen and write.
(1) Ask students to listen to the tape and complete the sentences.

—It’s cold.

Step 4 Language points
1. What’s the weather like in spring? 春天天气怎么样?
“What’s the weather like…?”用于询问天气情况,后面可以跟时间或地点。“What’s the weather like…?”可与“How is the weather…?”进行同义转换。回答用“It’s+表天气状况的形容词.”。
—What’s the weather like today? =How is the weather today?
今天天气怎么样?
—It’s cold. 很冷。
—What’s the weather like in Shanghai? =How is the weather in Shanghai?
上海的天气怎么样?
—It’s hot. 天气很热。
2. it的用法
(1)指代天气。
—What’s the weather like in autumn?秋天天气怎么样?
—It’s cool. 天气凉爽。
(2)指代时间。
—What day is it tomorrow?明天星期几?
—It’s Friday. 星期五。
(3)指代季节。
It’s winter. 是冬天。
