Can you find the following sentence in the reading passage?
Worried about the journey, I was unsettled for the first few days.
In this sentence the past participle is used as the adverbial. It is a way of joining two clauses together:
As I was worried about the journey, I was unsettled for the first few days.
观察句子中的过去分词
1. a. Told that his mother was ill, Li Lei hurried home quickly.
b. Compared with you, I still have a long way to go.
c. Exhausted by the journey, he soon fell asleep.

过去分词作状语,说明谓语动作发生的时间、条件、原因、让步、方式或伴随情况等。分词表示的动作与句子主语之间构成逻辑上的______(主谓/动宾)关系。

过去分词作时间、条件、原因、让步等状语时,可转换为对应的______从句。

过去分词作状语,可在其前面加when, if, although, as if等连词,构成“连词+过去分词”形式。
【拓展】
当句子的主语不是过去分词的逻辑主语时,过去分词前面可加上名词或代词作逻辑主语,形成独立主格结构。此时,过去分词与其逻辑主语之间是逻辑上的动宾关系。
e.g. They’ll send you the book for $2.75,
postage included.

过去分词作状语与动词-ing形式作状语的区别:
过去分词作状语时,与句子的主语之间存在逻辑上的动宾关系;
动词-ing形式作状语时,与句子的主语之间存在逻辑上的主谓关系。
e.g. Seen from the hill, the city looks very beautiful. (seen与city之间是逻辑上的动宾关系)
Seeing from the hill, you can have a good view of the city. (you与seeing之间是逻辑上的主谓关系)
Combine these two sentences using the
