一、课标解读
课程标准对高二学生读的要求:1.能从一般性文章中获取和处理主要信息;2.能理解文章主旨、作者意图;3.能通过上下文克服生词困难,理解语篇意义;4.能够通过文章中的线索,进行推理;5.能根据需要从网络等资源中获取信息。根据此要求教师在教学过程中通过设计问题来强化阅读意识,传授阅读技巧和方法。
二、教材分析:
1.教材内容
这节课”A life in sport”是外研版高中英语教材必修五Module 5 “The Great Sports Personality”中的Reading阅读教学的第一个课时,其话题是介绍李宁在体操赛场上的辉煌战绩,重点讲述了他在商海中的奋斗,以及他为中国体育事业所做出的努力和贡献。通过学习这篇文章让学生能够从李宁身上学习那种奋力拼搏、永不言弃的精神,学习伟大的体育精神。
2.教学重点和难点:
这节课的重点是学会相关的词汇掌握阅读技巧;难点是通过课文的理解使学生了解李宁的体育人生,理解伟大体育精神的内涵,使学生进一步拥有积极进取的人生态度。
三、学情分析
学生总体水平中等,能力一般,根据学生的总体特点设计的问题比较浅显易懂,符合学生的认知规律。
四、教学目标:
1.课前预习课文并自学重点单词:brand, sportswear, tracksuit, slogan,
logo, gymnast, slogan, trainer, launch ,rival, giants…以解决阅读障碍。
2.借助图片、媒体展示、文章阅读等,引导学生了解李宁辉煌的体育
生涯和奋战商海的经历以及他的伟大梦想;
3. 学完课文之后号召学习体育健儿们不畏艰难、奋力拼搏的精神。
鼓励学生用两三句话描述我们要成功应该具有哪些品行。
五、教学过程:
Teaching Goals:
1.To arouse Ss’ interest in learning about this module.
2.To enable Ss to learn more words about Li Ning’s sports life , business life and his dream.
3.To enable Ss to learn about Li Ning spirit and the meaning of The Great Sports Personality
Teaching aims:
1.To develop some basic reading skills—Skimming , Scanning and analyzing the text.
2. To cultivate Ss’ spirit of sports.
Teaching important points:
To learn more about Li Ning’s sports life, business life and his goal.
Teaching difficult points:
1. How to analyze the text and grasp the main idea of the text.
2. To understand the meaning of Li Ning spirit and the great sports personality.

Are you familiar with this song ? Its name is You and Me. It is the theme song of the 2008 Olympic Games. When it comes to the Beijing Olympic Games, have you remembered who was the last one to light the Olympic torch ? (通过学生已有的知识储备及自主预习所获得的新知识来导入)
It’s Li Ning. Enjoy a short video about this part and think about the reason why Li Ning was chosen to light the Olympic torch.
