From the videos, we can know that some activities are still held today in memory of Qu Yuan, but can you guess why people still remember him?

As we all know, Qu Yuan wrote a lot of poems, among which, “crossing the river ” is one of the most famous one, who can recite the first two parts of the Chinese version?
Step three: appreciate the poem– Crossing the River
“Crossing the river ” was written after Qu Yuan was banished for the second time. The king of Huai trusted his brother Zi Lan and decide to give in to the state of Qin but Qu Yuan advocated uniting the state of Qi to fight against Qin. Being spoken ill of , Qu Yuan was finally banished to farther south of China.
Qu Yuan loved his country so much that he was reluctant to leave but he had to , so he expressed this feeling in the famous poem- crossing the river.

Qu Yuan is a patriotic poet and want to make great contributions to his country. It is a great pity that he couldn’t achieve his ambition then. We are supposed to learn from him and put our love for our country into practice. We should study hard to enrich our knowledge and improve our ability so that we can make great contributions to our country.
