Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
At
the
beginning
of
the
20th
century,
there
were
more
than
a
million
lions
worldwide.
Today
there
are
less
than
30,000
in
the
wild.
The
remaining
lions
are
increasingly
threatened
by
habitat
loss,
hunting
activities
to
protect
farms
and
cattle.
For
generations,
Masai
tribesmen
on
the
large
African
plains
in
southeastern
Kenya
have
hunted
lions—to
protect
their
farms
and
cattle.
Today
they
celebrate
the
lions'
life.
Noah
is
an
elder
in
the
Masai
community.
“We
have
decided
as
a
community
of
the
Masai
to
lay
down
our
spears,
and
there
will
be
no
more
killing
of
lions
in
our
community.”
He
is
part
of
a
group
of
Masai
visiting
the
United
States
promoting
(推广)
the
Predator
(捕食性动物)
Compensation
Program.
Conservation
International's
Frank
Hawkins
explains,“The
Masai
have
been
living
with
wildlife
for
many
generations
and
it
has
been
a
conflicting
relationship
in
many
ways.
They
compete
with
the
animals
for
food
as
lions
eat
their
cattle.
We're
trying
to
find
ways
in
which
the
wildlife
will
become
something
useful
to
them.
”
They
had
the
Predator
Compensation
Fund
founded
in
2003.
After
much
discussion,
a
group
of
Masai
farmers
agreed
to
protect
lions.
In
turn,
if
lions
or
other
predators
kill
their
cattle,
the
Masai
owner
will
be
paid
market
value
for
the
dead
animals
from
the
fund.
One
man
said
that
in
the
past,
when
a
lion
killed
cattle,
they
killed
it
on
the
spot.
And
now,
after
the
start
of
the
program,
the
Masai
see
the
lion
population
growing.
Since
2003,
only
four
lions
have
been
killed
here.
1.What
is
this
passage
mainly
about?
A.The
wildlife
in
the
world.
B.Lions
and
the
Masai.
C.The
reason
why
lions
are
killed.
D.The
living
ways
of
the
Masai.
2.What
is
the
aim
of
the
Predator
Compensation
Program?
A.To
protect
people
in
the
wild.
B.To
help
the
Masai
protect
their
farms
and
cattle.
C.To
protect
lions
only.
D.To
protect
the
wildlife.
3.According
to
the
passage,
why
haven't
Masai
tribesmen
killed
many
lions
since
2003?
A.Because
lions
don't
eat
their
cattle
any
more.
B.Because
they
will
be
fined
if
they
kill
lions
there
C.Because
if
a
lion
kills
their
cattle,
they
will
be
paid
for
the
dead
animals
from
the
fund.
D.Because
there
are
less
than
30,000
lions
in
the
wild
now.
4.What
do
you
think
of
the
Masai?
A.Reasonable.
B.Cruel.
C.Poor.
D.Stupid.
B
The
words
“protect
animals”
appear
everywhere
in
books
and
on
screens,
because
some
animals
are
even
in
danger
of
dying
out.
But
sometimes
the
reality
can
be
a
little
different
from
what
people
read
or
watch.
About
300
black
bears
were
killed
in
Florida,
the
US,
in
October,
2015.
It's
been
the
first
bear
hunt
in
the
state
since
1994.
Local
officers
explained
that
the
black
bear
population
(族群)
had
grown
to
3,500
and
become
a
menace
to
local
people.
In
the
past
two
years,
bears
have
hurt
at
least
four
people
in
Florida.
Months
ago,
the
Swiss
government
allowed
the
locals
to
kill
a
wolf.
This
was
because
the
wolf
killed
38
sheep,
and
it
was
a
great
loss
to
some
local
farmers.
Days
ago
in
China,
three
old
men
were
caught
by
the
police
for
killing
a
serow
(鬣羚),
a
kind
of
protected
animal.
They
said
they
killed
the
animal
because
it
ate
the
plants
they
grew.
However,
these
stories
don't
always
mean
that
animal
protection
stops
because
of
human
interests
especially
when
it
is
related
to
economic
(经济的)
development.
A
man
named
Zhou
Weisen
set
up
a
wild
animal
base
in
Guilin,
Guangxi.
He
saved
over
170
tigers
and
about
300
bears.
His
base
also
offered
jobs
to
local
people.
“There
may
never
be
a
standard
answer
to
the
question
of
whether
we
should
give
more
attention
to
the
environment
or
human
development,”
said
Robert
May,
a
British
expert
at
Oxford
University.
“But
we
shouldn't
put
either
one
to
one
side,
as
the
future
is
uncertain.”
5.What
does
the
underlined
word
“menace”
in
the
second
paragraph
mean?
A.Chance.
B.Challenge.
C.Gift.
D.Danger.
6.What
can
we
learn
from
the
second
and
third
paragraphs
?
A.3,500
black
bears
were
killed
in
Florida.
B.The
wolf
can't
be
killed
in
Switzerland.
C.The
serow
is
protected
in
China.
D.Three
old
Chinese
men's
loss
was
made
up
for.
7.What
does
the
author
want
to
tell
us
by
mentioning
Zhou
Weisen's
story?
A.Protecting
animals
needs
hard
work.
B.Zhou
was
good
at
feeding
wild
animals.
C.Zhou
had
a
good
relationship
with
local
people.
D.Protecting
animals
can
bring
economic
development.
8.Which
of
the
following
might
Robert
May
agree
with?
A.Humans
can
kill
animals
when
their
interests
are
harmed.
B.We
should
pay
more
attention
to
the
future
than
the
present.
C.We
should
consider
both
the
environmental
and
human
interests.
D.It's
easy
to
find
proper
ways
to
solve
environmental
problems.

课时作业(十三)
Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
【语篇解读】 本文介绍了一个野生动物的保护计划——捕食性动物补偿计划。
1.答案与解析:B 主旨大意题。通读全文可知,“捕食性动物补偿计划”实施前后,Masai人对狮子态度不同,因此文章主要是关于Masai人与狮子之间的关系。
2.答案与解析:D 细节理解题。第四段中的“We're
trying
to
find
ways
in
which
the
wildlife
will
become
something
useful
to
them.”说明“捕食性动物补偿计划”是为了保护所有野生动物的。
3.答案与解析:C 细节理解题。从第四段“In
turn,if
lions
or
other
predators
kill
their
cattle,the
Masai
owner
will
be
paid
market
value
for
the
dead
animals
from
the
fund.”这句可知现在如果有狮子或别的肉食类动物杀死了他们的牲畜,他们就可以从“捕食性动物补偿基金”里获得补偿,所以他们没必要再杀狮子了。
4.答案与解析:A 推理判断题。从为了保护牲口不得已而杀狮子,到得到补偿后同意保护狮子,都显示了Masai人是很通情达理的。
B
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。保护动物有时会和人们的利益产生冲突,那么面对这样的情况该如何做呢?
5.答案与解析:D 考查词义猜测。依据画线词后的“In
the
past
two
years,bears
have
hurt
at
least
four
people
in
Florida”可推知,黑熊已经给当地居民带来了危险,故选D。
6.答案与解析:C 考查细节理解。依据第三段中的“Days
ago
in
China,three
old
men
were
caught
by
the
police
for
killing
a
serow(鬣羚),
a
kind
of
protected
animal”可知,鬣羚在中国是受保护的动物。
7.答案与解析:D 考查推理判断。依据第四段的首句可知,上面谈到的那些故事并不总是意味着因人类利益而停止动物保护。下文所举的Zhou
Weisen的例子说明了保护动物的同时也可以带来经济发展,故选D。
8.答案与解析:C 考查细节理解。依据最后一段中的“But
we
shouldn't
put
either
one
to
one
side”可知,Robert
May认为我们不能将任何一方暂放置一边,即我们既要保护环境又要考虑人类的利益,故选C。
Ⅱ.阅读七选五
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文,介绍了高效学习的几种方法。
1.答案与解析:D 根据空前的“Someone
probably
taught
you
a
few
skills
and
then
you
practiced
a
lot”和空后两句可知,此处承上启下,说的是要用学习如何骑自行车的方法来学习如何学习。故D项符合语境。
2.答案与解析:B 根据本空后的连续的两个问句及其内容可知,此处说的是关于课堂上集中注意力的内容,故B项符合语境。
3.答案与解析:A 根据空后内容可知,直到星期四晚上才为星期五的考试复习这种做法很不可取,故此处是说要提前为考试做准备,故A项符合语境。本段最后一句中的“plan
ahead”也是提示。
4.答案与解析:F 根据本段主题句“Ask
for
help”及空后内容可知,此处讲的是向老师求助,故F项符合语境。
5.答案与解析:G 根据空前内容可知,应该在晚上努力睡个好觉,此处说的是睡个好觉的好处,表示早晨醒来你会发现你记得学过的东西了。故G项符合语境。

A
bicycle
may
be
seen
by
most
people
as
just
another
vehicle
(交通工具),
but
for
many
Londoners,
cycling
is
a
way
of
life.
According
to
a
UK
government
survey
in
2017,
about
570,
000
bike
journeys
were
made
every
day
in
London.
In
fact,
almost
half
of
the
vehicles
that
pass
over
London
Bridge
each
day
are
bikes.
London
introduced
a
public
bike?sharing
system
in
2010.
“There
can
be
no
doubt
that
our
trusty
bicycles
have
changed
the
way
people
get
around
our
great
city,”
Johnson
told
The
Guardian
in
2015.
In
London,
bikes
are
used
for
more
than
just
taking
short
trips
to
and
from
the
subway.
No
matter
where
you
want
to
go
in
the
city,
riding
a

is
usually
the
quickest
and
easiest
choice.
And
it's
not
just
shared

that
the

ride.
In
many
companies
across
the
UK,
the
UK

Cycle

Work
scheme
(计划)
allows
workers
to
buy
a
brand
new

without
having
to
pay
any

(税).
This
means
that
it's
common
to
see
many
people
cycling
to
and
from
work,
and
some
companies
even
provide
showers
and
lockers
in
the
workplaces
for
their
workers.
More
importantly,
a
cycle?friendly
boss
may
let
you
off
for
being
late
if
you
ride
a
bike
to
work.
Not
only
is
it
great
for
the
environment
and
our
body,
but
cycling
is
also
good
for
the
mind.
According
to
National
Geographic

“Bike
riding

show
the

of
cycling
in

comparisons.
D.By
using
famous
sayings.
5.What's
Johnson's
attitude
towards
the
bike?sharing

in
London?
A.Disappointed.

C.Supportive.
D.Uninterested.
6.What

7.答案与解析:B 考查主旨大意。通读全文,第一段说明在伦敦骑自行车是多么的流行,第二、第三段说明其流行的原因,接下来的段落说明了政府和公司的支持进一步使骑自行车流行起来。故B项“骑自行车在伦敦是如何变得流行起来的”适合作本文的标题。

Camping
is
a
good
way
to
spend
time
with
your
kids
and
to
show
them
how
wonderful
nature
can
be.
Through
camping,
children
can
discover
new
things
about
nature,
such
as
flowers,
birds,
and
other
small
animals.
Camping
gives
kids
time
to
get
away
from
all
the
electronics
(电子设备)
of
today's
culture.
So
it
is
necessary
to
plan
exciting
and
enjoyable
family
camping
trips
with
your
children
while
they
are
young.
When
planning
your
family
camping
trip,
think
about
the
activities
your
kids
like:
games,
hiking,
swimming,
boating,
bicycling,
etc.
Select
a
camping
place
that
has
some
of
the
activities
the
kids
are
interested
in.
Meal
planning
is
an
important
part
of
your
camping
trip.
Plan
the
meals
together,
and
kids
love
to
choose
what
they
want
to
eat.
When
starting
to
pack
for
your
trip,
let
the
kids
pack
their

items
(物品).
Each
person
should
have
his/her
own
sleeping
bag
with
a
luggage
(行李)
bag
to
put
it
in.
Personal
items
should
be
packed
with
their

Encourage
the
kids
to
put
their
items
in
a
certain
place
and
always
return
them
when
they
have
finished
using
them.
When

make
all
the
camping
activities
a

how
important
teamwork
is.
Everyone
can
have

The
monarch
is
one
of
the
most
beautiful
butterflies.It
is
famous
for
its
yearly
migration
(迁徙)
from
the
northern
part
of
North
America
to
Mexico.There,
millions
of
monarchs
spend
the
winter
packed
closely
together
in
one
small
area.This
migration
is
one
of
the
greatest
wonders
of
nature.Yet
this
behavior
has
now
put
the
monarch
at
risk.
Every
September,
millions
of
monarchs
from
the
United
States
fly
to
Mexico.After
about
two
months
of
flying
time,
they
reach
their
sanctuary
(庇护所)
in
central
Mexico.Then,
in
the
warm
climate
of
private
and
quiet
valleys,
far
from
most
human
activity,
the
butterflies
create
one
of
nature's
great
scenes.They
cover
every
tree
with
bright
color.The
show
lasts
until
spring,
when
the
butterflies
return
north.
While
they
are
all
crowded
together,
the
monarchs
are
highly
weak.If
the
environment
in
those
valleys
was
disturbed
(打扰),
the
whole
species
could
be
hurt
or
even
wiped
out.That
is
why
for
many
years
scientists
who
knew
about
the
monarchs'
winter
sanctuary
kept
the
location
a
secret.
In
recent
years,
however,
the
monarchs'
secret
has
been
revealed.Today,
the
butterflies'
winter
sanctuary
is
crowded
with
tourists,
who
disturb
the
environment.Worse
still,
local
farmers
who
need
more
land
to
farm
have
begun
to
take
up
the
area.They
are
cutting
down
trees,
making
it
difficult
for
the
butterflies
to
survive.They
should
not
farm
in
the
monarchs'
sanctuary.
Concerned
people
should
act
immediately
to
protect
the
species'
winter
sanctuary.Local
farmers
must
be
aided
so
that
they
no
longer
need
to
take
land
from
the
butterflies.Tourist
visits
to
the
butterflies'
hidden
valleys
must
also
be
limited.Unless
these
steps
are
taken
soon,
in
a
few
years
the
monarch
butterfly
of
North
America
may
be
just
a
beautiful
memory.

Honey
from
the
African
forest
is
not
only
a
kind
of
natural
sugar,
it
is
also
delicious.Most
people,
and
many
animals,
like
eating
it.However,
the
only
way
for
them
to
get
that
honey
is
to
find
a
wild
bees'
nest
and
take
the
honey
from
it.Often,
these
nests
are
high
up
in
trees,
and
it
is
difficult
to
find
them.In
parts
of
Africa,
though,
people
and
animals
looking
for
honey
have
a
strange
and
unexpected
helper—a
little
bird
called
a
honey
guide.
The
honey
guide
does
not
actually
like
honey,
but
it
does
like
the
wax
in
the
beehives
(蜂房).The
little
bird
cannot
reach
this
wax,
which
is
deep
inside
the
bees'
nest.So,
when
it
findsa
suitable
nest,
it
looks
for
someone
to
help
it.The
honey
guide
gives
a
loud
cry
that
attracts
the
attention
of
both
passing
animals
and
people.Once
it
has
their
attention,
it
flies
through
the
forest,
waiting
from
time
to
time
for
the
curious
animal
or
person
as
it
leads
them
to
the
nest.When
they
finally
arrive
at
the
nest,
the_follower
reaches
in
to
get
at
the
delicious
honey
as
the
bird
patiently
waits
and
watches.Some
of
the
honey,
and
the
wax,
always
falls
to
the
ground,
and
this
is
when
the
honey
guide
takes
its
share.
Scientists
do
not
know
why
the
honey
guide
likes
eating
the
wax,
but
it
is
very
determined
in
its
efforts
to
get
it.The
birds
seem
to
be
able
to
smell
wax
from
a
long
distance
away.They
will
quickly
arrive
whenever
a
beekeeper
is
taking
honey
from
his
beehives,
and
will
even
enter
churches
when
beeswax
candles
are
being
lit.

size.
B.It's
hidden
in
trees.
C.It's
covered
with
wax.

these
nests
are
high
up
in
trees,
and
it
is
difficult
to
find
them.”可知,蜂巢通常都在高高的树上,很难发现它们。B项表述的意思与之相符,故为正确选项。
7.What
do
the
words
“the
follower”
in
Paragraph
2
refer
to?
A.A
bee.
B.A
bird.
C.A
honey
seeker.
D.A
beekeeper.
答案:C
解析:词义猜测题。根据the
follower所在的句子可知,作为向导的鸟把采蜜者带到蜂巢那里之后,它就耐心地等待和观看。由此推测出,the
follower应为采蜜者,故C项正确。
8.

the
way________.
A.it
gets
its
food
B.it
goes
to
church
C.it
sings
in
the
forest

解析
文章大意:本文是一篇记叙文,讲述了作者的成都之旅及其与大熊猫之间的故事。
1.考查词性转换。但对于像我一样的游客来说,熊猫是成都最吸引人的事物。由形容词性物主代词its以及形容词top可知此处应该填动词attract的名词形式attraction,意为“向往之地,有吸引力的事物”。
2.考查时态和语态。分析句子结构可知,主语I与动词allow之间存在被动关系,且前一句的“was”表明此处应用一般过去时,故填was
allowed。
3.考查词性转换。修饰动词应该用副词,所以填officially。
4.考查介词。go
back
to是固定搭配,意为“追溯到”。
5.考查定语从句。分析句子结构可知,空处在此引导定语从句,且在从句中作时间状语,故填关系副词when。
6.考查非谓语动词。分析句子结构可知,permit与其逻辑主语之间是被动关系,故填过去分词permitted作后置定语,相当于that/who
was
permitted。
7.考查非谓语动词。动词include后需跟动名词作宾语,所以此空填introducing。
8.考查代词。由语境及后面的名词mother可知,此空应该填it的形容词性物主代词its。
9.考查名词。由few修饰可数名词复数可知,此空填days。every
few
days是“每隔几天”的意思。
10.考查冠词。这里考查的是one...the
other...这一固定搭配,意为“(两者中)一个……另一个……”。

California
Condor's
Shocking
Recovery
California
condors
are
North
America's
largest
birds,with
wing?length
of
up
to
3
meters.In
the
1980s,electrical
lines
and
lead
poisoning
(铅中毒)
nearly
drove
them
to
dying
out.Now,electric
shock
training
and
medical
treatment
are
helping
to
rescue
these
big
birds.
In
the
late
1980s,the
last
few
condors
were
taken
from
the
wild,and
there
are
now
more
than
150
flying
over
California
and
nearby
Arizona,Utah
and
Baja
in
Mexico.
Electrical
lines
have
been
killing
them
off.“As
they
go
in
to
rest
for
the
night,they
just
don't
see
the
power
lines,”
says
Bruce
Rideout
of
San
Diego
Zoo.Their
wings
can
bridge
the
gap
between
lines,resulting
in
electrocution(电死)
if
they
touch
two
lines
at
once.
So
scientists
have
come
up
with
a
shocking
idea.Tall
poles,placed
in
large
training
areas,teach
the
birds
to
stay
clear
of
electrical
lines
by
giving
them
a
painful
but
undeadly
electric
shock.Before
the
training
was
introduced,66%
of
set?free
birds
died
of
electrocution.This
has
now
dropped
to
18%.
Lead
poisoning
has
proved
more
difficult
to
deal
with.When
condors
eat
dead
bodies
of
other
animals
containing
lead,they
absorb
large
quantities
of
lead.This
affects
their
nervous
systems
and
ability
to
produce
baby
birds,and
can
lead
to
kidney(肾)
failures
and
death.So
condors
with
high
levels
of
lead
are
sent
to
Los
Angeles
Zoo,where
they
are
treated
with
calcium
EDTA,a
chemical
that
removes
lead
from
the
blood
over
several
days.This
work
is
starting
to
pay
off.The
annual
death
rate
for
adult
condors
has
dropped
from
38%
in
2000
to
5.4%
in
2011.
Rideout's
team
thinks
that
the
California
condors'
average
survival
time
in
the
wild
is
now
just
under
eight
years.“Although
these
measures
are
not
effective
forever,they

文章大意:这篇短文讲述的是约翰逊先生一家人靠着农场里的奶牛维持生活,但是在一次意外中奶牛死了,约翰逊先生不得不想其他办法继续生活。他一边种药草和蔬菜,一边砍树去集上卖木头。故事说明:上帝在给他关上了一扇门的时候,又给他打开了一扇门。
1.句意:他拥有一个农场,这个农场看起来都快废弃了。a
是不定冠词,表示泛指一个,修饰可数名词单数。根据文意可知,约翰逊先生和家人住在树林里,他拥有一个农场。故填a。
2.句意:幸运地,他还有一头奶牛,每天都能产奶。luckily副词,幸运的是。根据文意可知,约翰逊先生的农场很破旧,都快要废弃了。但是还有奶牛每天都产奶,能让他维持生存,所以这是一件幸运的事。这里用副词形式修饰整个句子。
3.句意:他去附近的镇里卖牛奶,或是用牛奶来换其他的食物。本句话中exchange
的意思是交换,根据句意可知,约翰逊先生用牛奶来换其他的食物。这里是用短语exchange...for...,故填介词for。
4.句意:他去附近的镇上卖牛奶,或是用牛奶来换其他的食物,用剩下的牛奶制作奶酪和黄油。leave离开,剩下,留下。根据文意可知,约翰逊先生一家靠农场里的奶牛产奶来生活。除去卖掉的和换其他食物的牛奶,剩下的他就用来制作奶酪和黄油。这里what
was
left是一个宾语从句,根据句意可知用被动语态。
5.句意:一天,奶牛正在吃草,这时突然下起大雨。when是并列连词,意思是“正在这时”。这句话使用的句型是be
doing
sth.
