1 know/know about 了解，知道。相当于know of。
e.g. He knows about Yao Ming very well. = He knows of Yao Ming very well. 他非常了解姚明。
2 be born 出生，出世，仅用于被动语态，不用by，后可跟时间或地点。
3 in表示时间，用于月、季节、年,也用于泛指上午、下午、晚上。
e.g. in May 在五月；in the morning 在上午。
on用于星期几，某日，某一天的上午、下午(指具体某一天时，常用on)。
e.g. on Sunday 在星期天；
on the morning of October 13th 在10月13日的上午。
.—When was he born,do you know? 你知道他什么时候出生的吗？
--He was born in June,1985. 他出生在1985年6月。
（1）was是be动词的过去式之一，用于一般过去时，表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态。通常be动词有如下形式变化：
was not
(A)am,is-过去式-was-否定式-
wasn’t
(句子主语为第一、第三人称单数)
Be were not
(B) are-过去式-were-否定式-
weren’t
(句子主语为第二人称或者第一、二、三人称复数)
Be动词的过去式用法与am、is、are在各种句式中的用法一致。

1 What’s the date today? 今天几号？
常用来询问日期，相当于What date is it today?
2 next Thursday 下周四
next表示“下一个的”，next year明年；next week下周。
注意：next前不加介词。
e.g. My father will come back next month. 我爸爸下个月回来。
3 1)plan to+动词原形+sth.打算/准备做某事
e.g. I plan to do my homework at home this evening.
今天晚上，我打算在家做作业。
2)celebrate 庆祝，庆贺，是及物动词。
e.g. We celebrate New Year with a party. 我们举行聚会庆祝新年。
4 have a birthday party 举行生日聚会
e.g. Lisa will have a birthday party next week. 莉莎将在下周举行生日聚会。
5关于英语中日期的表达法：
1)日期的写法
A. 先写月份，再写日期和年，即月、日、年，
这种写法通常是美式表达法。
e.g. August 8th, 2008 2008年8月8日
B. 先写日期，再写月份和年，即日、月、年，
此种写法通常为英式表达法。
e.g. 12th December, 2007 2007 年12月12日
2)日期的读法
A. 先读月份、日期，最后读年份是美式读法。
e.g. 1937年7月7日
读作July (the) seventh, nineteen thirty-seven
B. 先读日期、月份，最后读年份是英式读法。
e.g. 1998年12月20日
读作the twentieth of December, nineteen ninety-eight
.基数词变序数词规律：
一二三特殊记，th从四加起；
八去t,九去e,f来把ve替；
Ty变成tie,
若是遇到几十几，只变个位就可以

你为康康的生日宴会（准备）的礼物是什么呢？
for 为介词，表示对象、用途等，意为“给,对,供”。
e.g. It’s a book for children. 这是一本儿童读物。
2 What’s the shape of your present?=What shape is your present?
它们的答语是：It’s+表示形状的形容词或形容词短语。
3 black and white黑白相间，“颜色+and+颜色”表示两种颜色相间。
e.g. a black and white film 黑白电影；a blue and black skirt 一条蓝黑相间的裙子。
4 get表示“明白，理解”，相当于know或understand。
e.g.—Do you understand my words?你明白我的话吗？
—Yes, I get it. 是的，我明白了。

1 1)want to do sth. 想要做某事,也可用
would like to do sth.来表达。
e.g. I want to have a cup of tea. = I’d like to have a cup of tea. 我想喝杯茶。
2)buy 动词,当表示“给某人买某物”时可用短语：
buy sth. for sb.或buy sb. sth.。
e.g. Would you please buy me a book on your way home?=Would you please buy a book for me on your way home? 你在回家的路上帮我买本书好吗？
